âď¸âď¸âď¸ Shared Alien Abduction Testimonies
The early contacties were persons who claimed that they had been taken aboard UFOs, which they call flying saucers at that time, and of being taken aboard by three unearly creatures, questioned under hypnosis and lie detectors, but their story remained intact. Flying saucers, dragons in the sky, angels descending from space.
Human history is full of these stories. stories beyond science that cannot be measured or calculated. Something that we have never understood. But to the people who experience these things, one thing is very real. The impact it has on them for the rest of their lives. Just about 40 minutes from downtown Los Angeles in the Big Tahunga Canyon.
One such story began in March of 1953. An alien encounter that would set off a chain of events for years to come. It began with two women in a remote cabin and a mysterious blinding light in the middle of the night. The entire details of the abduction would not come to light until the 1970s during a hypnosis session at the LAPD headquarters.
This is the story of the Tahunga Canyon contacts. In the years after World War II, something strange began to happen. From remote deserts in New Mexico to frozen lakes in Finland, from small towns in the Midwest to military skies above Korea, people were seeing things. Lights, discs, shapes that made no sense and had no explanation.
By the late 1940s, the US military was investigating dozens of reports a month. Unidentified flying objects, or UFOs, was now a phrase printed in newspapers, mentioned over the radio, and spreading through society. These sightings were occurring everywhere. And slowly, the stories began to change. It wasn't just what people were seeing anymore.
It's what they were experiencing. encounters, forgotten memories, lost time. Long before these experiences would become known as alien abductions, one of these stories was quietly beginning in the mountains just north of Los Angeles. I had first heard about this story online and decided I needed to find out more. The Tahunga Canyon contacts was written by Anne Duffle and D.
Scott Togo, two researchers who followed this case for years. It began with Sarah Shaw and Jan Whitley, the two women at the center of this story, living together in a remote cabin in the Tahunga Canyon. Their real names were changed to protect their identities. In March of 1953, Sarah and Jan were asleep when they were suddenly awakened by a light, bluish white in color, that was so intense it filled the entire cabin.
It was 2:00 in the morning and then complete silence, a dead stillness as if time itself had frozen. Sarah jumped up from her bed and began to look out the window of their cabin when she began noticing multiple shadowike figures approaching the cabin. Next thing they knew, 2 hours had gone by and they were still sitting in their room.
At first, this was all they could remember, just fragments, emotions, and the sense that something else had happened that night. It wouldn't be until decades later under hypnosis that Sarah would start to remember more. Jan remembered even less, just the light and the silence. A pattern would start to appear throughout the book.
Other women, friends, acquaintances, some speculate lovers were coming forward with similar stories. They all had had experiences they couldn't explain. Missing time, bright lights, strange beings, nightmares that felt more like memories. and they all knew Sarah and Jan. The book gave me a direction, but the big Tunga Canyon itself began to take center stage.
I came here expecting to trace one story, Sarah and Jan. But what I found was something much bigger. According to researcher Anne Duffle, this entire region is what she referred to as a window area, a place where unexplained phenomena seem to occur frequently. In the late 1960s, two hikers claimed to chase a glowing disc into the canyon until their car broke down.
One of them said they saw a fireball rise out of a hill and a beam of light shoot into the trees. Another incident mentioned in the book during the 1960s was the light people, misty gray figures, who appeared to be spying on groups of local school students camping out in the wilderness. Sightings in the Tahunga Canyon area go as far back as May 2nd, 1949. Two Glendel women, Marian W. Mills and Aina Monroe, saw a silvery shining disc flying northwest over the city. Shortly afternoon, it appeared to be made of metal and was traveling quickly. Suddenly, it tilted and disappeared from view, heading towards the little Tahunga Canyon area. Only 18 days later, at least 18 people reported a transparent object hovering in broad daylight over Glendale, a town near the Tahunga Canyon. It suddenly flipped towards the sky and disappeared.Â
On March 10th, 1950, at 8:45 a.m., residents of La Crescent viewed a triangular object traveling towards Big Tahunga Canyon. One witness described the craft as having a gondelash-shaped object attached to a light colored hole. The object traveled slowly with no audible motor noise. Later that day, a revolving wheel-like object with shiny spokes was reported hovering over the Lockheed Air Terminal at the nearby Burbank airport. The book goes into countless other encounters in the area. Going back further, the land was originally inhabited by the Tongva and Tatavyam peoples and was said to be a ceremonial area, sacred ground.
Even in one of the oldest legends tied to Los Angeles, the name Tahunga surfaces, hinting that this land has carried strange energy for centuries. In Horus Bells on the old west coast, he recounts the infamous curse of Griffith Park, a tale involving Don Antonio Pheliz, his family estate, and a betrayed niece named Dona Petronia. When the land was taken from her, she placed a chilling curse over the land. According to Belle's telling, she cries to the man who had just stolen her land. Quote, "Behold, Caster glanced towards the dark entrance of the great canyon of the Tahunga, and what do you see? a myriad demons floating in the air like so many vultures. They ride the storm clouds." End quote. An eerie invocation of the region's original inhabitants and a hint that something in this landscape was already considered powerful and maybe dangerous. Whether symbolic or spiritual, the mention of the Tahhunga spirits in a 19th century curse reinforces what modern researchers like And Druffle would later describe that this canyon and the lands around it are a kind of window, a place where things slip through.
It's clear the area was a hot bed. The women were real, the memories real, at least to them. But the location, the place where it had all started, that was harder to pin down. The book doesn't give coordinates. It never says exactly where Sarah and Jan's cabin was, but he gives fragments. A stream nearby, a meadow, a single lane trail down from the road, a few scattered cabins built before the war.
Some now abandoned, others long gone. I started following old fire roads, talked to locals, looked for anything that matched the topography described in the book, and eventually I found it, or at least something that looks an awful lot like it in the same area. Hello.
(08:58) See guys, this cabin is definitely from the right era. So, this is exactly what the cabin would have looked like. There's even furniture in here. There's an old kitchen. Look at this. Door's been knocked down. People have been in here. Look at the kitchen. Old fireplace. Even some old utensils. Look at that. For Sarah Shaw, it would take nearly 20 years to remember what happened to her that night in the cabin.
(09:44) Sarah's hypnosis sessions were guided by Dr. Martin Rise, a forensic psychologist who would later found the LAPD's behavioral science services unit. He wasn't some fringe figure. He was the department's internal expert on trauma, interrogation, and memory. And he took her serious. The hypnosis session began with Sarah recalling herself waking up that night nearly 20 years ago.
(10:09) There was no wind, no noise, just cold mechanical silence. She remembered sitting up in bed, suddenly alert. Something wasn't right. She remembered the bright light, a bluish white glow filling the room. And that's when she felt it, a presence, multiple of them. They had come in through a side door of the cabin. And suddenly they were there.
(10:30) Tall, slender, with long arms and smooth masklike faces that didn't move. Sarah was frozen, not by fear, but by something else. She couldn't move or speak. Jan, her partner, was still lying beside her. The next thing Sarah recalled was standing, but she hadn't gotten up. She was upright as if her body had been lifted into place.
(10:52) Two beings approached her, and without speaking, only thoughts and impressions. She knew they wanted her to come with them. As they led her toward the door of the cabin, she looked down and realized her feet weren't touching the ground. She was floating. Outside the cabin, a beam of light poured down from above.
(11:10) She compared it to an escalator during her hypnosis session and it pulled her up slowly. It guided her towards a dark rounded shape in the sky, hovering directly above the clearing in front of their cabin. And that's where the memory ended for that session. A few weeks later, Sarah returned for her second hypnosis session, this time with a different doctor, Dr. Bill McCall.
(11:33) The goal was the same, to pick up where the memory had left off, and what came out was something much stranger. Sarah remembered being inside the craft. The light around her was dim, but even. There was no fixtures, no bulbs, just illumination that seemed to radiate from the walls themselves. The space was curved, metallic, but soft.
(11:55) There was no sense of time, no sense of sound. She couldn't tell how large it was, but she knew she wasn't alone. The beings were there, watching, silent. They moved smoothly without walking. She couldn't tell how many. Their faces stayed the same, expressionless, like carved porcelain masks. They placed her on a surface, something like a table.
(12:19) A pale beam of light passed through her, scanning her body. She couldn't move, but she wasn't in pain. She described the light as alive, controlled, and as it passed over her, she had the overwhelming sense that the beings were recording her, somehow capturing her body's data, not with machines, but through light and mineral.
(12:39) She said they used stone slabs beneath her, sliding them in and out of the table. As the light passed through, she believed the stone absorbed the imprint of her, almost like an X-ray, but more advanced, more permanent. At some point, the beings communicated with her telepathically. They told her something important, something about medicine, about healing, about cancer.
(13:01) But the information was too complex, too much. She said it passed through her like a flood she couldn't hold on to. All she remembered was the feeling that what they showed her mattered, that it had purpose. The memory ended the same way it began. Suddenly, no transition. She was back in bed. Her body was sore.
(13:19) Jan was still asleep beside her. Two hours had passed, but it felt like no time at all. And Sarah wasn't the only one. Over the next few years, other women would come forward, each with their own stories, different times, different places, but all with the same patterns. Sarah's story was the first to surface, but it wasn't the last.
(13:40) In 1975, Emily Cronin came forward with her own account. A different time, a different place, but the same canyon, the same light, the same silence. One night, while driving home through the canyon with her young son and a friend, none other than Jan Whitley. They decided to pull over and rest. The road was quiet, isolated.
(14:00) They left the engine off, letting the silence wrap around them. But then, just like before, the air changed. A bright white light descended onto the car. Neither of them could move. They weren't unconscious. They were aware, but utterly paralyzed. Emily described trying to move her hand, one finger at a time. Slowly, painfully, she broke the paralysis.
(14:21) And with that, the moment shattered. They started the car, drove away, pulled into a roadside cafe, dazed and shaken. At first, Emily chocked it up to stress. A weird night, a trick of the brain, but she couldn't stop thinking about it. So, like Sarah, she agreed to hypnosis. What she remembered next was nearly identical to Sarah's account.
(14:41) Only this time, she wasn't alone. The craft was saucer-shaped. The light impossibly bright, and tall, thin beings moved around the vehicle, circling it, observing. But there was one detail Emily couldn't shake. The beings seemed particularly interested in her son. They didn't speak. They didn't enter the car, but she felt their focus, like her family had been marked.
(15:03) And when she told her story to Anne Duffle, she learned something else. She wasn't the only one. Other women, other friends of Jan had quietly begun reporting similar encounters. It was a pattern. And at the center of it all was Jan. By the time Emily Cronin came forward, the pattern was clear. Every woman who reported missing time, strange lights, or entities around the Tahunga Canyon area was connected to one person, Jan Whitley.
(15:33) And in 1975, the next voice in that growing circle was Lorie Briggs. Lorie had just graduated from UCLA. She didn't believe in UFOs. She had never heard of Sarah Shaw or Emily Cronin. But what happened to her one summer night would force her to question everything. It began with silence, then a sound, high-pitched, sharp, almost metallic.
(15:52) Her roommate Joe was a chronic insomniac. But tonight, she'd fallen asleep instantly. Something felt wrong. Lorie tried to wake Joe, shaking her by the shoulders, whispering her name. Nothing. She wouldn't budge. Then came the voices, not out loud, but inside her head, clear, calm, and completely alien. They were speaking to her, not with words, but with thought.
(16:16) She said they asked her to come with them. She refused. Then the pitch rose, sharper, urgent, a mental tug of war. She remembers trying to scream but couldn't, trying to run but couldn't move. Everything froze. When Joe finally woke, both women said the same thing. It felt like hours had passed, but the clock said barely 10 minutes.
(16:37) A chunk of time missing. In the days that followed, Lorie began to draw. Not just images of the encounter, but memories. A table made of stone. A beam of light scanning through her chest. Her body suspended, weightless. She hadn't remembered being abducted. Not until the drawings. Not until the hypnosis.
(16:57) Under hypnosis, it all came back. The floating, the glowing interior, the silent beings. She remembered being told she was being recorded, not just examined, that the light they used could store memory or imprint her essence onto slabs of stone. Lorie wasn't alone. Joe Maine, her roommate, also began experiencing flashes, brief images of a dark room, triangular shapes rising from the floor, and a voice in her head she couldn't place.
(17:26) When Joe underwent hypnosis, she described merging with a kind of light and speaking to an unseen presence, not a creature, but a consciousness. Each story was different, but the elements were the same. Missing time, paralysis, silent entities, a beam of light, and somehow all of them friends, partners, acquaintances were connected through Jan.
(17:48) Sarah had lived with Jan in that cabin in 1953. Emily was her close friend. Lorie and Joe met her years later. unaware of the original abduction, but still drawn into something eerily similar. None of them knew the full story, but somehow they were all pulled into the same web. Under hypnosis, Sarah described how during their abduction, the beings seemed especially focused on Jan.
(18:11) At one point, she remembered them examining Jan's chest, repeatedly scanning the area around her breasts. It left Jan deeply disturbed. Sarah would later say Jan felt violated, exposed, and targeted. And then years later, Jan was diagnosed with breast cancer. She underwent a full masectomy. The cancer went into remission but eventually returned.
(18:35) It would take her life in 1987. Sarah, who claimed the beings had given her a cure for cancer, spent years trying to pursue a medical career, hoping somehow to uncover what she was shown. She never made it to medical school. She became a dental hygienist instead. But the obsession never left her. She believed what the beings gave her was meant to help Jan.
(18:58) But by the time she could remember it, it was too late. Sarah Shaw believed she had received a cure for cancer during her abduction experience. Under hypnosis, she recalled being shown this cure by the entities aboard the craft. Later, she came to believe that the cure involved a substance resembling vinegar oil.
(19:17) This belief was so strong that she attempted to share the cure with a physician, Dr. Alini, who had reportedly heard of a similar remedy from another individual claiming to have received it from UFO entities. For all the women involved, the memories came slowly and never complete. But Jan never fully remembered anything.
(19:37) No matter how many sessions, no matter how many dreams, some believed she couldn't remember because she had been through the most. And whatever happened in 1953 may have never really let her go. The Tahunga Canyon contacts remains a mystery to this day. A story that possibly continues to unfold. A chain of events that started in 1953 and continued for decades.
(20:02) The power of the Tahunga Canyons is undeniable. Maybe one day we will understand what really happened here. Reported sightings are on the rise amid recent government acknowledgement of UFOs or UAPs as potential threats. The latest research estimates only around 5% or less of people who witness unusual aerial phenomenon though actually are filing a report.
(20:25) Returning to base, one member spotted moving objects. The chief cameraman quickly prepared his camera and filmed them for about 10 seconds before they disappeared. These are the actual pictures he took. Two shiny discs moving away in the top left hand corner. [Music]
An apparent case of alien abduction at Buff Ledge, a summer camp for girls in Vermont, in the summer of 1968 went unreported for a decade before one of the witnesses, suffering from intense nightmares of his experience, would enter his version of the account on to the record of the Center for UFO Studies. The report would catch the attention of UFO researcher and investigator, Walter Webb who would conduct extensive and thorough investigations into the incident.
Although there were accusations of a hoax from residents who still reside in the area and âalumniâ of the now-closed summer camp, it was the firm opinion of Webb that such a plot simply wasnât possible. And furthermore, had the two witnesses been a part of such a hoax, they wouldnât have waited ten years to report it. Nor would they have lost contact with each other almost immediately after. It would appear to Webb, and indeed other researchers who have examined the case since, that the events at Buff Ledge are not only credible but potentially important to the overall UFO and alien question.
Strange Lights At The Lake
On the late afternoon of 7th August 1968, two employees of Buff Ledge summer camp, sixteen-year-old maintenance worker, Michael Lapp, and nineteen-year-old ski instructor, Janet Cornell, were relaxing on the edge of a boat dock watching the slowly setting sun dance on the water. [1] The summer camp sat on the shores of Lake Champlain in Vermont, just north of Burlington which, incidentally, is where most of the campers were this particular evening, attending a swim meet. Hence the entire campsite was almost deserted.
As the sun bid farewell to the day and night took charge, Michael noticed a strange light in the distance. At first, thinking it was a star or even a planet, he sat watching contently. Then, the light suddenly dropped much lower to the ground. And whatâs more, it was moving towards the teenagers at an alarming rate.
As the pair watched this otherworldly performance, three separate lights detached from the first, large glow. These three lights would head directly towards the lake, while the larger light seemed to ascend again rather quickly and disappear from sight. The three glowing orbs zig-zagged and danced between themselves over the shimmering waters below, pulling off moves that neither had seen an airplane or helicopter manage. As the two teenagers continued to watch, the three shining objects moved closer still to them.
Then, they formed a triangle shape and remained still for a second before two of them moved away slightly. As they did so, a sound rang out âlike a thousand tuning forksâ which caused considerable discomfort to the pair. The remaining object suddenly shot upward before diving straight into the lake and vanishing beneath the surface. Then, it reappeared and glided across the water, heading straight for them.
âTwo Child-Like Creaturesâ In A âTransparent Dome!â
As the object continued its approach, Michael made out a âtransparent domeâ, seemingly on top of the it. Inside this dome, he could make out âtwo childlike creaturesâ with elongated necks and large heads. He also noticed their large eyes which stretched around to the sides of their heads. As it moved closer, rising from the water and hovering directly over the unnerved teenagers, it fired a beam towards them. Michael grabbed Janet out of the way forcing both of them to the ground and away from the strange light.
He would later report he remembered shouting at the object âWe donât want to go!â as fears and stories of alien abduction filled his mind. He would also recall that he could see the bones in his hands as if viewing an X-ray such was the brightness of the light beam. It passed closer to them. Each would recall that it caused a floating sensation. And, even stranger, that the light itself had a âliquidâ feel to it.
The next thing either of the teenagers knew, they were sat calmly on the boating dock. The intense light was gone, and the strange object was now much farther in the distance and heading away from them. The sky was now no longer the dark blue of early evening, but completely black, suggesting it was much later. When Michael turned to Janet, she appeared to be in a trance. Both of them felt somewhat disorientated and confused. As the strange object finally vanished from sight, the pair could hear the other campers back from their swim meet.
A Decade Of Intense Nightmares!
Michael and Janet would keep the sighting strictly to themselves for the remainder of the summer. And following the end of the camp season, the two witnesses would depart back home and back to their individual plans and lives. However, over the years, Michael began to suffer increasingly intense nightmares. They were always the same â of being abducted and ânot wanting to goâ. The dreams eventually made him think about the incident at Buff Ledge more and more until eventually, ten years after the encounter, he would contact the Center for UFO Studies to make a report.
UFO researcher, Walter Webb, would take on the case. He would almost immediately suggest hypnotic regression to get to the bottom of the nightmares, and to find out just what happened on the boating dock in the summer of 1968. It would appear those memories were bubbling just below the surface as Michael immediately recalled the incidents as soon as he was regressed.
He would state that the light had seized both of them and lifted them on board the craft. He recalled âstreams of approaching colored lightsâ while also noticing a âloud whineâ the nearer to the craft he got.
Once inside the craft, he could see Janet laying on a table and under examination. Several of the small entities performed the procedure. They would shine lights in each of her eyes and take samples of skin, hair, and blood. He viewed the events from some kind of âupper deckâ with one of the alien creatures beside him.
Inside The Dome!
As he looked upwards to the transparent dome, he could clearly see the Earth, the Moon, and an everlasting net of stars against the blackness of space. Michael also noticed a huge âcigar-shapedâ craft which he assumed was a âmothershipâ.
He would recall how these creatures all looked exactly the same, and how their bodies had a âdamp and clammyâ look and feel to them. He estimated them to be around five feet tall with long, thin arms and legs. Their skin was a strange âgreenish-blueâ, a similar color to the skintight green suits they wore, which made them appear as though they were naked.
He would further recall that each had âthree-pointed web-like digitsâ for their hands. During this, the entity placed a thought into Michaelâs mind. Their mission was to âmake life like oursâŚother placesâ. When pressed on this, the explanation was much clearer. They wished for life on Earth to be like their planet â without violence. He would also recall that the entity was âsurprisedâ that he was alert and asking questions. Perhaps ominously, and correctly, the creature would state that because of this âit would be difficult for him after the experience was overâ. Despite the situation, and for reasons he didnât understand, Michael claimed to have a âgreat affinity or closenessâ with this particular entity.
The creature then led Michael down a set of steps and onto the floor which housed the table upon which Janet lay. Then, the creature led Michael to another table. It tilted slightly to allow him to lean against it before returning to its horizontal position. The last thing he remembered is looking out of the transparent dome, seeing the large cigar-shaped ship now much closer. Then he lost consciousness.
A âReal External Eventâ With âNo Opportunity For Collusion!â
During the investigation Webb had managed to track down and convince Janet, now a married twenty-nine-year-old, to also undergo regression. What she described under hypnosis corroborated Michaelâs version of events entirely. She would recall laying on the examination table, which induced a âcoldâ feeling within her. She also recalled something âpulling (my) hair and pinching (my) neckâ. Furthermore, like Michael, she recalled following one particular entity who she referred to as her âguideâ. And who was âher only source of comfortâ throughout the experience.
Webb would also conduct extensive research with numerous ex-employees of the summer camp. And the guests during the summer of 1968. He discovered that several employees at Buff Ledge had witnessed strange lights and objects over Lake Champlain on the same evening that Michael and Janet claimed to have been abducted.
Furthermore, two other employees would also report to Webb they suspected they too were the victims of abduction. The incident was earlier in the summer, several weeks before the August incident of Michael and Janet. However, it mirrored theirs almost exactly. An incident which began with strange lights over the waters followed by the appearance of a disc-like craft.
Webb would also perform several character evaluations on both Michael and Janet. All in all, they were, according to his research, credible witnesses with no reason to manufacture such a story. Certainly not ten years after the fact with no known contact between the pair since the summer of the incident. Overall Webb would find, the pair had âno opportunity for collusionâ and âexperienced a real external event of unknown originâ.
The authenticity of UFO cases is usually judged by the respectability of its reporters, especially those dealing with abductions. That being the case, the report of an extraordinary series of events from three women from Stanford, Kentucky is highly regarded. It would be on January, 6, 1976 that Mona Stafford, Louise Smith, and Elaine Thomas would have a terrifying experience of the first kind.
The added strength of a well-conducted investigation make this one of the most quoted events in UFO annals world-wide. This report would include not only abduction, but other validating sightings, physical evidence, animal reaction, and electromagnetic effects. Not only was this case fully reported and researched, it was followed up on; determining the long-range effects on the health and lives of these three well-regarded women.
January 6 was Mona Stafford's 36th birthday. She was joined by her best friends Louise Smith and Elaine Thomas to celebrate the event, and just have a friendly dinner together. The three good friends took their dinner plans to the Redwood restaurant, which was located south of Lancaster, Kentucky on U.S. 27, thirty-five miles from their hometown of Liberty.
As the three finished their dinner, they started what they thought would be a nice, pleasant drive back to their houses. Little did they know what lie in store for them in what would be a night they would never... could never forget. As the began journey, it was 38 degrees, with a south wind of 15 mph, and a visibility of 15 miles.
The UFO
Leaving the Redwood eatery at 11:15, the three women were in a jovial mood as Louise Smith sat behind the wheel of her 1967 Chevy Nova. It should be noted that none of the three had any beer or liquor to drink that night. Leaving Stanford and heading for Hustonville on Highway 78, the three suddenly see a "bright, red" object in the clear, night sky.
The sighting frightened Mona, who thought it was an airplane on fire, and heading for a crash landing. As the glowing object came closer, Smith lost control of the automobile...
The little Chevy was now going 85 mph, a speed never traveled before by Smith. In a panic, she cries, "I can't hold the car on the road." Mona reaches over and tries to help her, thinking that something is wrong with the steering, but she cannot control it either. The car continued its high rate of speed without deviation.
Later, Louise would state, "My foot wasnââŹâ˘t even on the gas pedal." In a moment, the unknown object was frighteningly close to the Chevy. It followed from behind for a short time, then flipped on its end, coming extremely close to the driver side.
All three women would later recall the same thing. What they were looking at was an enormous, metallic, disc-shaped object with a dome on top, and a ring of red lights around its midsection. The women all saw it close enough to see a yellow, blinking light on its underbelly.
The UFO hung over the driver side of the car for a time before it moved ahead of it on the highway. As it did, a bluish-white light shot into the car, lighting up the interior of the vehicle. Later, Mrs. Smith would describe the inside of their car as being filled with "a haze like air, sort of a fog."
In a second, all three women suffered from a burning sensation so strong that they could not open their eyes from the irritation. The last thing in the memory of Smith, Stafford, and Thomas was being backed into a pasture entrance in a "crazy manner."
The entry was flanked on both sides by an old stone wall. One hour and 20 minutes later, the three found themselves back in the little Chevy, again driving toward Liberty. They were shaken and tense with exposed areas of flesh; painful from the burns.
The three frightened and scared ladies finally arrived at Mrs. Smith's home, and when they entered they noticed that the clock in the kitchen showed 1:20 A.M., confirming the trip of 35 miles had taken just over two hours. Normally it took about 45 minutes.
They immediately went to the house of their neighbor, Lowell Lee, who confirmed the time loss. Confused as to what to do next, they called the Police station. The next day, they phoned the Navy recruiting station. Neither of the two calls afforded them any aid. The Navy station did give some of the details of the event to a Lexington TV station. The story quickly reached the press, and was given headline status.
The Investigation Begins
MUFON (Mutual UFO Network) investigator Jerry Black heard the story of the event, and immediately went to work to gain more details. Black called the three women, and asked for an interview, but Smith, Stafford, and Thomas were reluctant at first to relive the event, or to have strangers in their homes.
After more phone calls, and the offering of his sympathy and compassion for their experience, the three witnesses agreed to an interview. Also, Black invited Mrs. Peggy Schnell of Blanchester, Ohio to attend. She also had experience with these kinds of cases. Black felt that the three would feel more comfortable with a feminine presence.
The first meeting was more or less an ice-breaking session, but several very important facts were revealed. Black stated that the three women were all obviously in physical pain, they all were chain-smoking, which they attributed to the experience. They had an insatiable thirst, and all claimed excessive weight loss since the event. The three women gave some details of their observations of the UFO; its structure, and its behavior.
They also discussed some of the ill effects that they had sustained. These memories were painful to all three, as they tried to recall details in hopes that someone might be able to help them. Mrs. Thomas would state, "We live in fear of what we donââŹâ˘t know. IââŹâ˘m worried about Lou and Mona. I think theyââŹâ˘re ready for a breakdown."
Psychological & Physical Effects
Naturally there were some psychological problems in the aftermath of their experiences. Mrs. Smith was having difficulties in performing her everyday duties as an assistant for the Casey County Extension Office. Mrs. Stafford was not only suffering from an eye inflammation, she was desperate to know what happened during the missing time. The three women were assured that they would be able to undergo regressive hypnosis, and uncover their missing time, therefore alleviating some, if not all of their emotional stress.
Several things were evident to the investigators at this first meeting. The three women witnesses were sincere about what they had experienced, they were suffering from the so-called "beam," and there were obvious physical scars from the encounter. Smith lifted her hair up, and showed a mark on the nape of her neck. It was a roundish, pinkish-gray blotch, the size of a half-dollar.
Another unusual revelation that came from this meeting was the strange reaction of Mrs. Smith's parakeet. When Smith first arrived home after her experience, instead of her usual happy greeting, she received a frightening reaction from the bird. It flew into the side of its cage, and fluttered its wings in a wild display of fear. Smith proclaimed that since the first night home, her pet had not had a thing to do with her.
Did the sixth sense of the parakeet acknowledge some "unearthly" aura from Smith? Further tests were conducted in the presence of other birds, and when other people drew near, the birds were perfectly normal, but when Mrs. Smith came close, they too panicked. Her pet died in March 1976. This uncanny reaction was not the only one to come from Smith's presence.
The minute hand of the wrist watch that Smith wore began to rapidly spin around its dial. Also, the next week after the sighting when she touched her bedroom alarm clock, it quit working. Frustrated, she threw the clock away. Another quirky problem was noticed when Louise's car developed electrical problems.
Driving to work, she was stopped by Police who informed her that the signal lights were not working. The most annoying problem of all was the general ill health and weakness of the three unwilling witnesses of this extraordinary event. Because of this, investigators agreed that, at least for the time being, no other details of the event be released.
Walter Andrus of MUFON, and Dr. J. Allen Hynek of CUFOS, were both informed of the case, and both agreed to wait for details until the three women were in better condition.
After the initial interviews, the investigators involved were convinced that the three women's story was disturbing, yet solid as could be. The value of this event would be historical, and though difficult, those involved had to use all of their patience to keep the dark secrets of that night to themselves, until a later time.
There was no doubt in anyone's mind that these three well-respected, mature, and sane women had seen something not in our knowledge to understand, and that there was missing time that had to be explored. An abduction was on the minds of the principal investigators.
Dr. Hynek was called upon to provide a professional psychiatrist to perform regressive hypnosis on the three. Unfortunately, lack of funding was a big part of the decision as to who to call upon. None of the noted doctors lived anywhere near the state of Kentucky. Dr. Berthold Schwarz was contacted first, but because of his tight schedule, was not able to make the trip. Also well-respected ufologist and physician, Dr. Leo Sprinkle was considered. Sprinkle was consultant to APRO, but he was not called because he lived in Wyoming. In a stroke of good fortune, Dr. Sprinkle heard of this case, and dropped everything to go to Kentucky.
When Smith, Stafford, and Thomas were contacted about Sprinkle's desire to help them, they refused, not knowing of Sprinkle's reputation. At this time, the three women, though needing help, were still under the impression that in time their problems would pass, and to involve more and more people in the story would only prolong the agony.
The three women had heard of Jim and Coral Lorenzen of APRO, and this well-respected husband and wife team were called in to try to ease the fears of the story being released nationally. A promise was made to the three ladies that the regressive hypnosis procedure and its results would NOT be released to any of the UFO groups for publication until a time that they felt comfortable with it. An agreement was made! A date was set for the regressive hypnosis; March 7, 1976.
Regressive Hypnosis
Dr. Sprinkle, Black, Schnell, and others were all present for the initial session. All of those in attendance reaffirmed their good intentions of keeping the wraps on the story until the three women authorized its release. At this time, only one of three would consent to the hypnosis, Mrs. Stafford. A silence feel across the room as Dr. Sprinkle began his methodical, professional way of easing Stafford's fear.
In a slow, cautious manner, Stafford began to recall the events of her night of terror. She was able to relive her interpretation of seeing what she thought was an airplane crashing. She was not able to go any further at this first session, as tears rolled down her cheeks and exhaustion set in. After the session, Dr. Sprinkle stated that Stafford was still in a posthypnotic state, and that she should be questioned very carefully and cautiously.
After the first hypnosis, Black continued to ask questions of Louise and Elaine. Mona moved away from the others to rest. Another interviewer began to show Stafford some drawings of aliens.
The word, "alien" had not been mentioned in the case before this time, out of respect to the three, and also to not coach in any way. Mona sat and silently looked at the pictures, and then in a dramatic fashion, she proclaimed, "This looks like the light I saw...It was shaped like that head!" pointing to a specific alien.
Again, Mona sat for a time, thinking about that night. Then she added to her previous statement, "Yes... I can see the face now, but it doesn't seem solid. It comes and goes... I mean, fades and reappears like in a fog. Its eyes are far apart and at the bottom... the chin... is like that drawing."
At this time, she had remembered all she could, but that was more than enough. A major breakthrough had occurred, the time lapse barrier had been breached. There was now no doubt that an abduction had taken place!
Dr. Sprinkle was notified the next day of the revelations from Mona, and was sent the alien picture she identified. Her statements were logged, and sent along also. There would be a lapse in the investigation at this point. Several months went by without probing any deeper into the hidden facts of the case.
Investigators did keep in constant touch with the three women, albeit, in a friendly fashion, careful not to push them too soon. The three were still locked in fear, their physical problems continued, and so did the weight loss. Drs. Sprinkle and Hynek, all the while, were still dealing with the problem of funds, and trying to find a solution to helping the three ladies. Also investigators were constantly being prodded for more information on the Stanford case, and as per their agreement, they refused to release any information.
While others involved in the case were still trying to find solutions for the financial shortfall, it would be investigator Black who would find a solution. After lengthy discussions with the National Enquirer, he had struck an agreement with the tabloid. The Enquirer would finance a return trip for Dr. Sprinkle to complete his regressive hypnosis, and lie-detector tests would be conducted.
If the results would verify an abduction, the Enquirer would have exclusive rights to publishing the story. Also, the three women would receive compensation. Black made the move because of concern to the health of the three women, and also to accumulate facts for the benefit of UFO research groups.
Hidden Facts
There was renewed optimism with the Enquirer deal, and there was hope that the hidden facts of that night would soon be uncovered. The next hypnosis session was scheduled for the Brown Motel in Liberty, Kentucky on June 23, 1976. Newly present at this meeting was well-known UFO investigator Bob Pratt of the Enquirer.
Though the reputation of the Enquirer left much to be desired, Pratt himself was regarded as an honest, sincere man. Pratt had earlier attempted to get details of the Stanford case, but was denied access because of the earlier agreement of a news blackout. The first order of business on this day would be the lie-detector testing.
A detective for the Lexington Police Department, James Young was hired to head the polygraph part of the session. Recognized as an expert in the field, Young began his testing of the three women, all done privately for each of the three.
Young was actually a great choice for the sessions, because he was a skeptic as far as UFO stories went. The tests themselves were lengthy, leaving no room for anything but a conclusive result, whether good or bad. After the tests were all completed, Young emerged from the room with an expression of utter amazement.
All three of the women had "breezed through" their tests without a hint of deception. To his credit, Young was man enough to admit that his earlier prejudices were completely erased after the testing of the three women. Next would come Dr. Sprinkle's hypnotic session.
Sprinkle would first put Mrs. Smith under the evening of the lie-detector testing. The next day, all three would undergo regression, with each woman having two sessions. During the regressions, the faces of the three women showed the emotional turmoil they were enduring. The details of what occurred on that harrowing night came slowly... hauntingly... painfully.
Some of the most fearful moments of their abduction were displayed by painful body contortions and movements. All of the details revealed in this article were observed by an eyewitness of the entire procedure, whose credibility is beyond question.
Digging for the Truth
All of the women were taken aboard some type of craft, and subjected to physical examinations, sometimes harsh in nature, sometimes tortuous. There was not any sexual molestation during the abduction, but they were restrained in embarrassing, humiliating positions. Mrs. Smith would reveal that her exam took place on a table; Mrs. Thomas' was inside of a capsule with an unusual looking noose-like device around her neck, which tightened painfully if she tried to speak.
Mrs. Stafford's exam was in a chair-like device. All of the abductees recalled having their bodies scanned, and instruments used which exerted pressure on their limbs. Mrs. Thomas recalled a tube with a bullet-like tip on it, which probed her chest, and she also recalled a warm liquid being applied to her face and body. Mrs. Stafford also recalled the warm liquid.
Stafford Drawing
The sessions brought out other details as well. The characteristics of the alien forms themselves seemed to be vague, and often indescribable. All three related "shadowy figures," which floated or glided by them. They also recalled the frightening "one eye" or "two eyes," which also hovered over them.
Mrs. Stafford made an unusual statement in describing an eye exam; "I could see a light at the end of a tunnel, which looked like a volcano with a jagged edge." At this point, she described great pain in her eyes, "... Just like theyââŹâ˘ve been pulled out." Mona recalled a single bright purple eye that radiated lightning-like rays.
Elaine also joined the other two in describing the strange events. She remembered "two-eyes" from a round head in a deep darkness. One eye, she said, was a "beautiful blue," encircled by a blue membranous lid, like a turtle, and the other eye appeared dark.
Louise saw several different forms of beings during her ordeal, but she was so frightened that she closed her eyes and didn't look at them. However, some months later, she described her vision of the humanoids in similar fashion to her two friends; adding that their hands looked like jagged wing tips. It would be Elaine who recalled the most about their captors, at one point stating, "There were several small figures about 4 feet tall."
Conclusions
One fact that all three agreed on was that the humanoids communicated with them by telepathy. Not once was an entity mentioned to have any type of mouth. Some interesting facts about the craft itself were revealed by Mona Stafford, when asked to elaborate on her description of the tunnel or volcano.
She would now add to previous information that she was looking through a tunnel, with the room lit up brightly. She could see a square table with a helpless woman on it, surrounded by small figures clad in white. The small beings were closely examining the poor woman. In her own words, "IââŹâ˘m not sure if the person was Elaine, or Lou, or maybe even me!"
After all of the revelations of the three women, there remained no doubt that something very extraordinary happened on the night of Mona's birthday. Several profound facts were accepted;
1) The three women had encountered a flying craft of unknown origin.
2) They had been abducted by beings unknown.
In all cases, no matter how believable, it always helps if other witnesses come forward. This case also had other observers of the UFO that night, independent of Stafford, Smith, and Thomas. These sightings occurred in Casey and Lincoln counties, Kentucky. Within a couple of hundred yards of the abduction, one couple watched from the window of their home a "large, luminous object," which passed over the Stanford area.
This occurred about 11:30 P.M. The couple wanted to remain anonymous. Other observers reported also, describing a ring of "reddish orange" lights around a disc-shaped flying object. Two teenagers, out for a joy ride, stated that they chased a low-flying UFO after it had hovered over the Angel Manufacturing Plant in Stanford. They chased the strange object all the way to Danville, and there they reported the object to Police.
Another very significant report came from the owner of the property where the three women's abduction took place. The farmer stated that "down the road" from his house, he witnessed an unusually low-flying object which shot a white beam of light to the ground.
Could this have been the precise time of the abduction itself? Although over 30 years have elapsed since the Stanford case, there has been not one negative comment on the details presented by Mona Stafford, Louise Smith, or Elaine Thomas. The Stanford, Kentucky abduction is still considered one of the best documented abduction cases in UFO history.

Jan. 6, 1976 was Mona Stafford's 36th birthday. To celebrate, she and her friends Louise Smith and Elaine Thomas decided to drive thirty-five miles from their home in Liberty, Kentucky, to have dinner at the Redwoods Restaurant, between Stanford and Lancaster, Kentucky. Louise Smith was driving them in her '67 Chevy Nova.
The three women had an enjoyable dinner together. None of them drank any alcoholic beverages with their meal. At about 11:15, the trio headed back home, expecting to be home by midnight. At Stanford, Kentucky, nine miles from Lancaster, they turned off Highway 27 and onto Highway 78 towards Hustonville.
Just outside Stanford, a curious thing happened. A bright red object appeared in the sky, which Mona Stafford at first thought was an airplane on fire. As the object descended from the right side of the road to a point ahead of them, they could see that it was not an airplane, but a huge object bigger than "two houses." The object stopped about a hundred yards ahead of them, stretching across the road on both sides. It rocked back and forth for a couple of seconds, and then moved off to the left.
They kept driving, and assumed that whatever it was had kept going. However, after they had been about a quarter of a mile, a blue light appeared through the rear window of the car. At first they thought it was a highway patrol car with its lights flashing, but soon they realized that the flying object had circled around and had come up behind them. Suddenly, something wrested control of the car away from Louise Smith. The car accelerated even though Mrs. Smith took her foot off the accelerator, and the speedometer was soon on 85 mph. Mona Stafford, in the front passenger seat, tried to help Louise regain control of the car, but it was not possible. The women began to feel a burning sensation in their eyes. The ignition lights lit up on the instrument panel, an indication that the car's engine was stalled, but they were still speeding along. They saw a wide, brightly lit road ahead of them, and then, seconds later, the scene became Highway 78 and they recognized they were on the outskirts of Hustonville, a full eight miles from where they had just been. Checking the time, they found that, incredibly, an hour and twenty minutes had passed.
They arrived at Louise Smith's trailer in Liberty at 1:25 am, almost an hour and a half late. They went inside to collect themselves and found that they each had a red mark like a burn on the backs of their necks, and they all had burning, irritated eyes. Louise Smith went into the bathroom and removed her watch to wash her face. She saw that the hands of her watch were spinning at a much higher than normal speed. When she splashed water on her face, she found that contact with water caused pain in her hands and face.
They went next door, to the home of Mr. Lowell Lee, and told him what had happened. He had them separately sketch the object they had seen. The sketches were extremely similar, if not identical. They called the police and the local navy office, but neither showed any interest in their story.
In the days that followed, Mona Stafford had more problems with her eyes than did the other two women, and she sought medical help for severe conjunctivitis. Louise Smith's pet parakeet was now inexplicably terrified of her and the bird died a couple of months later. Smith's car also began to develop mysterious electrical problems.
The navy office reportedly gave information about the story to the news media, and the story was soon in the newspapers. Hearing of the case, Jerry Black of MUFON set up an interview with the three women. J. Allen Hynek of CUFOS and Jim and Coral Lorenzen of APRO also investigated the case. The investigators found that other individuals had independently reported sightings of a UFO in the Casey and Lincoln counties that same night. Dr. R. Leo Sprinkle of the University of Wyoming heard of the case and flew in, and on March 7, 1976, he performed a preliminary hypnotic regression of the women.
In July of 1976, Lexington Police Department detective James Young separately gave the three women lie detector tests regarding their experience. They all passed with no problems. Later that evening and continuing into the next day, extensive hypnotic regression of the women was performed by R. Leo Sprinkle. These sessions were similar to the story of Betty and Barney Hill in that they revealed that during the period of missing time the three women were taken on board the object they had seen. While there they were medically examined by shadowy beings that they later identified as being similar to depictions of aliens.

(02:38) bluish white light on the top the object is described by louise it was huge it covered the road and was in the fields on both sides it was a metallic gray and had a kind of a dull glow it had a dome with a white light effect to it it had red lights going all the way around completely going around it and three lights that were underneath the red lights this is the object of seeing by elaine this huge dome-shaped object it was beautiful i can't describe it there was this one huge light in the center on the bottom and it seemed like it was focusing a beam on us then i saw just like a searchlight or
(03:21) something it was a white blue fluorescent light it seemed like it was coming from underneath at the time elaine tried to get out of the car and moana pulled her over and shut the door then moana got hold of the steering wheel and tried to help louise louise at the time was having trouble controlling the car the light from the object flooded the car causing their eyes to burn in their heads to hurt the car felt like it was being pulled backwards over speed bumps in the road louise tried to go forward but the car
(03:56) was going backwards the car was out of control louise hired for mona to help mona looked and saw that the speedometer was registering 85 miles an hour and she told louise to slow down louise showed her that her foot was not on the gas pedal these are some of the women's feelings mona and louise felt terrified while elaine felt at peace when the object was behind the car louise saw a blue light in the rearview mirror moan assault light flash on the hood of the car mona and louise thought that it was a state trooper that had pulled behind them but then they realized it was the
(04:36) object the very last thing that the women remembered after the light came into the car was that the red light had come on on the dashboard then just like the snap of a finger they were back in houstonville mona said it was like something had picked us up in stanford and set us down in houstonville louise was not holding onto the steering wheel the women were holding their heads a short time later the women arrived at the trailer of louise smith they all wondered how they had gotten there so quickly they all felt a burning sensation on
(05:10) their necks they had headaches and mona said her eyes hurt once inside the trailer the women discovered several strange things the clock in the kitchen should have showed 12 but instead it was 125 they had arrived about an hour and 25 minutes later than they should have elaine's wristwatch stopped working louise said the minute hand on her watch was going almost as fast as the second hand and the second hand was just spinning all three of the women had burns on their necks louise and elaine on the back of their neck
(05:45) monas was on the left side of her neck under her ear mona also had a burn under her mood ring and they said mona's eyes were as red as an albino rabbit louise noticed the light on at her neighbors and asked mr lowell lee to come over to her house the women told him what they had seen he saw the marks on their necks and the women's drawing of the object he remembers it was after 1am because he was watching late night tv the next day the women discovered the paint on the car was blistered and peeling they went back where they had
(06:20) bought their gas the night before and found they used within 8 cents worth of gas meaning that they could not have been driving during that hour and 25 minutes following the night of january 6 all the women experienced the same reactions extreme fatigue nausea and diarrhea all chain smoked all three women felt thirsty constantly all lost weight and their skin burned when they shared the three women noticed personality changes a man who worked with jerry at continental can company had relatives who lived in casey county and they had given him a newspaper this man brought the newspaper into jerry and
(07:03) after reading the article about the women jerry called louise smith to see if he could put their minds at ease and find out what might have happened during that lost hour and 25 minutes at first louise was leery of having jerry and two other strange gentlemen meet with her and the other two ladies at that time jerry called and asked if i would agree to talk with louise after talking to louise and promising that a woman would be there along with the gentleman she agreed that we could come down and meet with them on the very first trip down when we
(07:37) stepped into the louise's trailer i felt as though i had known the women later i learned the women had all three felt the same under hypnosis louise remembered seeing a woman with long dark hair she felt it was me later she told me she knew that it was me that even though my experience it happened in 1973 and hers happened in 1976 she was sure that she had seen me aboard at the same time as herself during our first meeting we questioned the women about their sighting we took notes we checked blistered pain on the car we drove to the restaurant into the general area where the women first saw
(08:16) the object we took pictures of the women trawler car restaurant and the area the women had traveled that night our next meeting took place in march at the home of mona stafford's parents the three ladies mona's parents the investigators and dr leo sprinkle were present dr sprinkle is the associate professor of psychology at the university of wyoming he was there to put mona in a light hypnotic trance to see if their incident weren't any further hypnosis under hypnosis mana said we was just driving along and i thought

(21:47) it seemed to be vibrating somehow then blank it just all blotted out just darkness for a long while elaine could see only darkness lou said they're going to take us aboard i began to pray the car started vibrating lou asked mona to help me i can't hold it the red light on the dash the car is gone so dark there was so much pressure on my chest i couldn't talk like a weight above my left breast a round metal bullet-shaped object only larger so much pressure it hurt it was as though they wanted me to hush
(22:31) i kept struggling they won't let me breathe pressure on my throat tightness they talked but no sound there were so many they kept passing the window window was foggy they looked about four feet tall couldn't raise my hands i wanted to get away feeling no need to talk just no need terrible fear because i don't understand they didn't care i will understand someday but i don't know that was a small part of each of the ladies two hypnosis sessions i will try to remember some of the other things that i felt were unusual about the ladies experience at the time and afterwards
(23:19) mona told us that she felt like her eyes had been taken out of the socket placed on her cheek and then replaced the ladies felt as if something had been poured over their bodies they thought like a mold and then removed one of them said that when it was removed it felt like a band-aid coming off after the incident we were told that there were several bibles that were missing i believe it was seven of them i'm not sure if it was all three ladies i know it was one in particular but i thought all three women had bibles missing from
(23:56) their homes um after hypnosis when they discovered where the actual abduction had taken place the ladies were terrified to go near there and yet on one night louise had a strange compulsion to go back to the place when she first was there she had rings on her fingers and then she looked down and her rings were missing a couple of days later i don't believe it was the next day i think it was a few days later she returned home from work and she told me that right in the center of her trailer steps it looked as if somebody had deliberately just placed
(24:38) them very carefully in the center of the steps barely her rings this frightened louise so badly that she threw her rings into a creek that ran behind her trailer after the incident all the ladies personalities changed for instance elaine began dressing more colorfully and she developed a psychic ability on one occasion after the incident we were going back down to meet with the women and a friend of mine who had heard about the case asked if she could go along because she was really interested to meet the women we went down to louise's trailer
(25:16) there was mona louise elaine my friend jerry and myself we were talking with the women for a while and then after a while elaine began telling me some things about my horse and she was pretty accurate about him then she looked at my friend and told her something personal about herself my friend said no it isn't true and elaine looked straight at her and said yes it is and my friend said no it isn't and elaine said yes it yes it is elaine never did back down the most that she did was say that well if it isn't now it will be shortly
(25:59) i didn't know until a while later i hadn't seen my friend for a long time and another mutual friend i was talking with her on the telephone and she asked me something about my friend and it turned out to be the exact thing that elaine had said at louise's home about my friend that she had been denying and here it was true another incident i recall is elaine telling us of a substance that fell out of the sky she described it as a like a golden angel hair and that it had fallen out of the sky and covered her i believe that
(26:40) the other two ladies witnessed this and that it also fell on them i think that this possibly happened on more than one occasion i can just remember seeing elena she was telling us about it she seemed like a little child she was very delighted that she was telling us about this golden angel hair that had fallen on her another incident that i recall and i think is very important is one where mona was home alone in her trailer her trailer set on the same property as her parents home they lived very close by i believe it was late at night
(27:23) a man materialized right in mona's trailer she described him as looking like someone from out of the bible she said he was wearing a long robe and that he had long shoulder length red hair and a beard both the beard and the hair had finger curls mona was very frightened by this and she said that she felt like she needed to make contact with her parents she felt if she didn't make contact that she was either going to be abducted or something was going to happen to her i don't recall exactly why she had difficulty
(28:05) in being able to reach her parents i don't know if she meant that she couldn't get to the telephone or if she wasn't getting a dial tone or something but in the beginning she was having trouble making contact eventually she managed to call her parents on the phone and as she did this the man disappeared i believe it was the next day mona made a sketch of the man she ran us a copy and mailed it to us in the meantime each time that jerry and i went down to kentucky to check with the women and see if they had any further memory or if
(28:48) they had drawn any other pictures or or what have you each time that we had gone there we took our camera and we took pictures of what was happening we took a tape recorder and and taped the sessions and took notes most of the time we went to louise's trailer on this particular time for some reason i'm trying to remember if elaine had already passed away but elaine was not there and i believe louise was out of state at that time we went to mona's trailer and we brought with us pictures that we had taken from the trip before
(29:34) i did not know that besides the sketch moana had all so um made a painting on black velvet of the gentleman who had materialized in her home mona was aware that we had pictures but i didn't tell her that at the trip before jerry and i had stopped at the abduction site on the way home we had some pictures left on the roll of film so we each took a few pictures of each other standing in front of the wall at the abduction site when we got home to my house there was still one or two pictures on the roll so we
(30:16) snapped a couple pictures that were left because we were anxious to get the film developed when the film was developed and we got it back we discovered that the rest of the role of film the pictures taken earlier that day were all clear only the pictures taken at the abduction site had little round globes or balls of light on the pictures there's one picture in particular of myself where there's several of these round balls or globes surrounding me and one of jerry's pictures there's a very in the corner of the picture is a very predominant
(30:56) round globe we took the pictures to the lab that does the work um for the drugstore in our area and we asked the gentleman if we left the negatives and the pictures if he could get back with us and tell us what he thought was wrong with the pictures a few days later we got a call to meet with him and when we got there he told us that it appeared that there was nothing wrong with my camera there was nothing wrong with the roll of film it wasn't caused by the development of the film it wasn't condensation
(31:40) they didn't really know what caused the globes the closest thing that they could imagine was possibly that there was an energy source that the naked eye couldn't see but that the camera had somehow picked up this had never happened to any of my pictures that i've ever taken before in the past and it never happened again until several years later there was an incident with another camera and then several years after that there was another incident taken with still another camera and if you're interested i'll tell you about that later anyway when we took the pictures down to show
(32:25) mona jerry and i were both in for a shock as we were sitting on the couch at mona's house roughly three or four feet in front of us was the oral painting of the man who materialized hanging on her love and unlike the sketch the painting had these little round bows of light or just little round white circles on the painting i didn't even realize until sometime later when someone was looking i took a picture of the swirl painting and somebody happened to notice that if you look at the picture of me at the abduction site where the
(33:15) the balls are surrounding me that they form if you turn the picture around they form almost the exact pattern as mona had put on her painting um jerry and i were dumbfounded when we first got there we just sat on the couch looking at each other we both had seen the picture and we both realized that you know like what in the world are those round circles or balls doing on mana's picture then we looked at her and said mona why did you put those round circles or balls on your picture and she said she didn't really know that
(33:54) after her hypnosis session when she sat down to paint that she didn't know what she was going to draw until she was actually doing it and she had no idea as to why at that time we showed her the pictures but there had been no mention that there were any kind of dots or circles or globes or whatever on these pictures also that same night i happened to be standing in front of mona's couch and i must have looked funny because mona and jerry both asked me if i was all right it was just a really extremely weird sensation as i stood there it felt like electricity was going all through my body and the only thing i
(34:39) can remember was thinking i've got to get off of this spot i don't really know why i felt like i needed to get off of that spot except for the feeling of this electricity like running through my body and when i sat back down i was all right but it was just a very weird sensation that i can't forget another incident that happened was one night i was sleeping it's right before i divorced my ex-husband and i was in bed with my seven-year-old daughter i remember that my night habits weren't the same normally during the night i get up and
(35:21) use the restroom several times and a lot of times i would stop and get a drink a pop or something and get back into bed i usually have very vivid dreams very few times in my life and it's only been a couple times since my incident that that i remember going to bed and everything is just black and i don't get up during the night to use the restroom i don't remember having any kind of dream at all it's just a blackness this particular night when i woke up the next day i had this really funny feeling like i haven't been here all night and it
(36:02) didn't make any sense to me whatsoever because you know i'm thinking peggy you're crazy you had to be here all night you went to bed with your seven-year-old daughter you woke up in bed you're like where else would you be and the other thought that was on my mind as i was waking up i had two thoughts one i haven't been here all night and the second one was everybody who's been abducted has a mark and i don't know what kind of mark the only thing in my mind is as i kept thinking of this throughout the day was
(36:35) possibly like a birthmark or something but i didn't know what kind of mark in the meantime jerry had called and i told him about this feeling this very strong feeling of feeling that i hadn't been home all night so we talked for a little while and he hung up um later that day jerry was talking to louise and she asked him she said jerry is peggy all right and he said yeah i just talked to her a while ago why and she says during the night and somehow i think that it was like two o'clock in the morning or something that she had told him but anyway during the night she
(37:18) insist that she saw me standing at the foot of her bed do i believe it happened i don't know all i know is that it wasn't my normal sleep routine and that louise insist that i was standing at the foot of her bed probably the incident that was really the most unusual concern in the whole case again involves elaine thomas i was pregnant with my little girl that passed away and i received a telephone call from elaine during this call elaine told me it's going to look like i'm dead but they're coming back to get me i was very uncomfortable with this call
(38:05) because over the period of time i had become very close with these ladies and it made me sad when she said that she was going to be dead so hindsight i wish that i had questioned her more about it [Music] shortly after she said it i changed the subject the feeling that i got when she said it was going to look like she was dead i took it to maine that possibly she was going to be in a car accident that possibly they would find the car but not her body i really had no idea what she meant i really didn't think it was going to
(38:46) happen and i'd give anything if if i could do it again and there are so many questions i would have asked her three months after this phone conversation elaine was dead elaine was dead under very mysterious circumstances outwardly she was given every indication of having a massive heart attack elaine was rushed to the hospital they performed all the tests that you would when a person's having a heart attack all of her tests came back normal i believe the first time that this happened to her i think they kept her in the hospital like for a week
(39:37) at the end of the week the doctor couldn't find anything wrong with her heart so he sent her home with some nerve medicine he couldn't figure out you know what else was wrong with her so elaine was home i think roughly a week and again all the outward symptoms of having a massive heart attack came on again again she was rushed to the hospital again she was given the test the test came back normal i believe at this time she was put into intensive care during her time in intensive care mona had come by to visit her
(40:19) and mona told us that elaine told her mona it really did happen to us you've got to make them believe it really did happen um i believe that elaine was next moved into a semi-private room early that day elaine vomited something with a heavy orally substance to it the nurses disposed of it and marked it on her chart later that day when the doctor came in he told us that he asked elaine if she had had anything with a heavy orally base to it anything like castor oil mineral oil olive oil any type of heavy oral and elaine told him no
(41:08) he told jerry that he had wished if he would have known that she was going to die that night that this hadn't been disposed of he would like to have had it analyzed later that day before elaine passed away a ball of light had come into her room and this fall light was bouncing around the room and the other patient that was in the room with elaine must have left out a hollow or a scream or something because it got the nurse's attention and she told us that she did see the ball of light but um while the light
(41:49) was there and i guess it was terrifying the other patient in the room elaine said to her not to worry it's just them they've come back for me later that same night elaine left this world how she left it we don't really know because as far as the doctor's concerned he don't think that she really had a heart attack he don't really think that she died from a heart condition but her husband and her mother didn't allow an autopsy to be performed and the doctor said he had to write something down on the death certificate so he went ahead and wrote heart attack
(42:34) but he didn't really feel like it was a normal heart attack here are two short statements from two different newspapers concerning elaine's death one from the casey county news says cause of death uncertain did elaine thomas as many people believe die from a heart attack maybe maybe not the doctor in somerset where elaine was taken for chest pain said he couldn't figure it out said her husband he thought at first it was a heart attack but later he was uncertain the pains would come back later causing otis to remember something he'll never
(43:12) forget she mentioned sharp pains in her chest and said she couldn't breathe he said it was the exact same description she gave the night she was taken up in the ufo i really didn't pay much attention to it at the time but it the description she gave the national inquiry under hypnosis described her to a t when she complained about her chest pains by me reading that inquirer article it bought back to me the way she acted the night she died it made me think there could have been something to it the second newspaper statement came from mona
(43:51) mona who was with elaine during her final days doesn't believe it was heart trouble that killed elaine her throat and chest hurt her something terrible at night she said lights blinding lights came at her from all sides and she heard the voices of the aliens speaking to her she told me people are going to say i died but that won't be true only my body is going to die they're going to take my spirit with them times when we want to give up this is the main case that keeps jerry and i struggling to try to find out just
(44:27) what is the answer to ufos as you know from the other night we both have our own separate opinions i think jerry's starting to lean a little bit my way but um this is the case anytime that you feel like you want to just give up and not care anymore about what ufos are or what it's all about you remember this case and you feel like you got to keep going and you got to keep trying to find out what the answer is one of the last things that i'll say and i apologize for talking so long is that back when i first married jerry i became very curious as to why some people had
(45:11) very close encounters and or missing time it seemed like there must be some common denominator when i first married jerry he used to say that somebody was in the wrong place at the wrong time and i just really didn't feel this and i keep saying i don't think so jerry i think i think that you must be chosen or picked or whatever so um and taken many many reports over the years along with jerry and talking to many many people i began asking them after i took the report i asked me like what were their interests um did they have any hobbies i tried to get a feel of the person
(45:55) what i discovered was that everybody who had missing time or a very close encounter at least in all the cases that i talked to number one they weren't the type of people that were real hard-nosed like i'm from missouri and you know like i don't believe unless you show me or prove it to me they weren't doubting thomas's they seemed to be sensitive people people that were sensitive to the things around them that was one thing second they all everybody that i ever talked to had a belief in god not to the point of being
(46:31) fanatical but i never talked to anybody who claimed to be an atheist and had a missing time or a very close encounter the third common denominator is a creative ability over and over i heard people express that they were interested in writing they were artists they worked with crafts they were involved in drama they played music not the least of which the ladies in kentucky all three ladies were very accomplished artists louise smith also wrote poetry when we were there she gave us a small booklet excuse me a small booklet of poems that she had written
(47:17) and she also played piano and played the guitar you see this just over and over in our own ufo support group were very often surprised by one of the members coming and bringing either some artwork that they did or an elderly gentleman who has carved just absolutely fantastic canes it's just you would never even picture any of these people having the ability to do this and yet this creative ability just seems to come up over and over again i neglected to say that when the ladies had their polygraph test they
(48:03) all passed the test with flying colors jerry said um you might be interested to know that the gentleman who gave the polygraph test to the women died roughly two years later he had a rare blood disease he just thought that was kind of interesting also we'd like to let you know that we have many many documents including louise's car had to be taken to a repair shop for the electrical system the following days but we had in mountain went to the eye doctor we have copies of the bills for all of their things um all kind of documents
(48:41) all kind of pictures um some type recordings of different things all of the hypnosis session we have tapes of that so i want to thank you for listening to this tape and i hope that the information helps you some thanks you
In a small New England town, members of a support group, which boasts a growing membership of 1,500, gather for a "secret" meeting. "I wanna let you know that you're not alone," the group leader begins.
Twin sisters Audrey and Debbie, who have asked that their last name and hometown be withheld, have also come a long way to share their experiences. "It was a long, tiresome battle," Audrey said. "It's impacted my life tremendously. I'm still in therapy." The group that's assembled for this meeting is not struggling with alcohol, drugs, sex addition or gambling. They're part of Starborn, an alien experience and awareness support group, catering to those who say they've been abducted by aliens. Many people have wondered: are earthlings living on a speck of dust -- alone in the infinite universe or are there other intelligent life forms out there in the cosmos? Nearly half of all Americans and millions more globally believe we're not alone, according to a 2000 ABC poll. While 40 million Americans say they have seen or know someone who has seen an unidentified flying object, or UFO, a growing number believe they've actually met aliens.
Audrey and Debbie not only said that aliens exist, but that they've made contact with them. The twins said it started when they were young.
"I was probably about 5 years old or so ... and a bright blue light would come in to the room and the door would open, and there would be like, a foggy kind of misty blue light, just shining through the whole house," Audrey said. "And these two figures would come in. There would be a tall one, they had black capes, but they were bald and had big eyes." Audrey and her sister call their visitors "The Bald Men," but they're better known in UFO circles as "The Greys," a race of extraterrestrials, categorized by the grayish color of their skin.
The twins' first encounter with aliens, they say, came during childhood and continued into adulthood. They also believe they've been abducted together on the same spaceship -- only to compare stories afterwards. "We have been together on abductions," Audrey said. "We have been up in crafts and seen our house from above. So we realized they are not from here. They are very good at mind erasing or whatever you want to call it. They'll leave you with bits and pieces of things you can remember. So we do remember certain things of being there together." When asked why aliens would continue to abduct them together, the twins had no explanation. "That's the question I always ask myself," Debbie said. "A lot of times I'll wake up in tears saying, 'Why me? Why me? Why can't this happen to somebody else.'"

Four men â Jack Weiner, Jim Weiner, Chuck Rak, and Charlie Foltz â say they experienced a terrifying encounter with aliens while camping in the Maine wilderness. Itâs taken the men years to go public. Each has been polygraphed and hypnotized, and their stories hold up.
For years, Jack Weiner was disturbed by reoccurring nightmares. He told no one about them except for his wife, Mary:
âI was starting to have nightmares, really terrible nightmares that I could not explain. I found myself in a very brightly lit room. I had no idea where I was or why I was there. To my left, I could see my brother Jim, Chuck Rak, and Charlie Foltz sitting on some type of bench, and they were all naked. I was wondering why they werenât helping me, because I felt like I was in danger, and while Iâm trying to figure this out, I notice this figure or a dark, shadowy-type figure emerging from this lightâ this bright light in front of me. I would wake up, uh, uh, sweating and breathing heavily and just in aâ in a state of terror and shock.â
In 1988, Jackâs twin brother Jim confessed that he, too, was haunted by exactly the same nightmares:
âThere were always certain elements of the dream that were the sameâ some type of creature, being helpless, being violated was a feeling I often woke up with.â
In every dream, the twins were with Charlie Foltz and Chuck Rak, two friends they had met in school. They wondered if these nightmares could be connected to a camping trip 12 years earlier in Maine. In August, 1976, the four men had spent two weeks in Maineâs Allagash wilderness. The Allagash covers thousands of acres in the northernmost part of the state. On the second night out, Jim noticed a bright object in the sky:
âIt was just floating above the treetops, didnât seem to be moving in any direction. And I looked at it through the binoculars for maybe 15 seconds, 30 seconds, and it suddenly just winked out from the outside edges inward. I mean, it literally just went whooht, like that, and it was gone. There was something about this thing that left me with an odd feeling that wasnât quite right, but I really didnât dwell on it.â
The men continued through the Allagash wilderness. On the fourth day, they decided to try some night fishing. They built a bonfire to mark their campsite. Once out on the water, Chuck Rak was the first to realize they werenât alone:
âI had a feeling there was someone staring at me from behind me. I turned over my right shoulder like that, and I saw this large, round globe of light that looked exactly like what we had seen two nights previously.â
âIt had this roiling effect to it, like a miniature sun, very, very bright. It lit the treetops up like daylight, and it was absolutely silent.ââJim Weiner
âAfter looking at it for what seemed like several moments, we decided to signal this thing. Thatâs when Charlie picked up the flashlight and squeezed off a messageâs.o.s.â
âChuck Rak
The response was instantaneous:
âWell, when the light started coming toward us, my curiosity was satisfied. And I just dropped the flashlight. The only thought in my mind was to get to shore. I never looked back.ââCharlie Foltz
The men began paddeling back to shore:
âI remember looking over my shoulder, trying to keep an eye on this object as it was coming up behind us. It was getting very close. It was almost on top of us at this point. I remember thinking that weâre not going to outrun this thing.ââJack Weiner
Their next memory was being back on shore, just staring up at the bright object:
âI remember thinking, âI could pick up a stone and bounce it off this thingâs side.â Thatâs how close it was. And then, all of a sudden, it just streaked away very, very fast, and within a few seconds, it was like a star, just another light in the sky.ââJim Weiner
âI remember stepping out of the canoe, and going up to the campsite⌠And I remember there was no panic. People seemed to be very relaxed.ââChuck Rak
All four men agree they were out on the lake for less than 20 minutes. The huge bonfire should have burned for hours. And yet only coals remained, indicating a longer passage of time. Jack Weiner recalls:
âThe unusual thing is that we didnât stay up for hours and discuss this thing, which is what youâd think four young guys on a camping trip would do. We just seemed very fatigued and wanted to go to bed. The next morning, we got up and got our camp together and paddled to the next campsite.â
The men spent another 10 days in the Allagash wilderness but never again saw the bizarre light. As the years went by, they told friends and family about the UFO sighting, but no one really believed them. The men hardly believed it themselves. Then the nightmares began for Jim and Jack Weiner. Finally, Jim contacted UFO researcher Ray Fowler for help.
Fowler suggested the Allagash four undergo hypnosis with a trained hypnotherapist to recover details of the sighting. Under hypnosis, each of the men experienced terrifying repressed memories of being abducted. They were almost exactly alike.
Independent of one another, each of them drew illustrations of their incredible recollections. All four said they were taken aboard the craft. The aliens forced them to strip naked and seemed to be conducting medical examinations. The aliens took samples of the menâs skin and body fluids, their blood, urine, and semen.
What follows are excerpts from the actual sessions:
âTheyâreâtheyâreâ they donât know what to do. I think they think Iâm going to come after them. I feel like I want to. I feel like I want toâ the first one that comes near me, Iâm going to throttle him. I donât like these things. I donât care where they come from. They shouldnât be doing this to people.ââJim Weiner
âTheyâre right there. Their face is right in my face. I donât know why. I donât want to know. I donât want to know what they want. Theyâre saying things. In my head theyâre saying, âDonât be afraid. They say, âDo what we say. Just do what we say.â
âJack Weiner
âItâs like a doctorâs office. I get that, itâs cold like a doctorâs office is cold. They put the panel over your chest. Then they scrape your arms and your chest, your legs and thighs. We shouldnât be here. I justâI just keep thinking, âI want to be back in the canoe.â
âCharlie Foltz
Chuck Rak could see what the aliens were doing to Charlie:
âI see some sort of device on him. Theyâve got aâthis looks like a silvery, it looks like theâ like itâs got curves on it. Itâs almost likeâ like it sucks something. Heâs got his head tipped way back. Itâs almost like heâs in pain. Weâreâwe canât help him. All we can do is watch him.â
It was not until after the hypnosis sessions that the Allagash four discovered that each of them had recalled the same horrifying events. The each took polygraph tests and passed.
For skeptics, however, stories of alien abduction do not stand up to scrutiny. Some suggest, including clinical psychologist Dr. William Cohn, that images from popular culture or horror movies may have triggered inspiration for memories of alien abduction:
âThis movement is media driven. Itâs cyclical. People hear about good cases on TV. They think they may have had the same thing happen. It sort of feeds upon itself.â
Dr. John Mack is a psychiatrist and author:
âUsually, these are people who have no interest in abductions, have not read about it, are unfamiliar with the beings, and are shocked and astounded when they hear someone else has had these experiences as well, or that there is material in the media about it.â
âThe investigators have a very clear-cut agenda about what theyâre looking for. So if you get somebody thatâs doing UFO abduction research, this is a person that has already decided that UFO abductions are real, that thousands of people are having them. They have a symptom list. And if you come in the door with those symptoms, then you must have been abducted.ââDr. Cohn
âIt really doesnât work like that. The person comes because theyâve heard that Iâm open to listen to something which other therapists or, uh, other mental health professionals have not been able to listen to. This is not a club anyone wants to belong to.ââDr. Mack
The four men have never backed down:
âThis happened. If you believe it, thatâs all right. If you donât believe it, I donât care. I donât care, âcause it did.ââCharlie Foltz
The High Bentham Incident
On Sunday, January 16th, 2005 at around 5pm, four members of a family were eating in the Little Chef on the A65 near Ingleton, North Yorkshire. They had enjoyed a family day out and would soon be returning home to their moorland farmhouse a couple of miles south of High Bentham on the border between Lancashire and North Yorkshire. They were Anne, her daughter Rachel and Rachel's two sons, aged nine and eleven.
They finished their meal and drove north on the A65 towards Ingleton. Rachel was driving, eldest son Alex in the passenger seat and Anne, together with youngest son Benjy, in the back. The exact route they then took is hazy for reasons which will become apparent. However, during the journey the boys commented on a row of terraced cottages with chimneys that stood out starkly against the sky. The terraced cottages are located on a lane off the A65 which leads south to High Bentham and the assumption, therefore, is that this is the route they took.
As the journey continued, all four became aware of a bright white light in the sky to their left. They later described it as being about the size of a car headlight and being so bright that the moon by comparison looked yellow. The object then moved across the sky and became visible through the windscreen. It accelerated downwards at an incredible speed, so fast that the witnesses were 'waiting for the crash' but it never came. It then gained altitude and sped away over the Forest of Bowland hills. While the object was in view, none of the family spoke, only commenting on the event after the object had disappeared. The next thing they remembered was driving into the village of High Bentham.
"In an attempt to find an explanation, Anne got in touch with Radio Lancashire the next day and described the event on air. Other witnesses phoned in and suggested that the object had gone south from High Bentham over the Forest of Bowland towards Clitheroe."
The case came to the notice of UFO researcher Joe McGonagle who in turn passed it on to LAPIS, as we live nearer the area and are therefore better able to investigate. Six days after the sighting LAPIS got in touch with the witnesses. In the first phone conversation, Anne described the object as beautiful and compelling and simply wanted to know what it was. Arrangements were made for LAPIS members to visit the family the following weekend. A couple of days before the planned visit, Anne, Rachel and Alex decided to re-drive the route to try to find the spot where the sighting had occurred.
Rachel Deveraux
Ann Deveraux was clearly very shaken from the whole experience
The two boys tell an honest and straight forward story
The family noticed a couple of discrepancies as they re-drove the route. The first was that the journey only took them nine minutes whereas on the night of the sighting it had taken much longer - something they hadn't thought anything of at the time. We now believe they had an hour and twenty minutes of missing time that evening. The second discrepancy was that 'the road was wrong'. The assumed route had taken them down a winding narrow road surrounded by walls and hedges while they knew the sighting had occurred on a straight wide road that was 'high up' and had a white line down the middle of it.
Understandably disturbed by these discrepancies they decided to try a totally different route, convinced that they must have driven home a different way that night. This route provided no clues to the location of the sighting - it too 'wasn't right', but as they drove along it all three witnesses had what they described as a 'horrible sensation'. After a while the sensation passed but intrigued, they turned the car around and drove back. On the same stretch of road they experienced the same feelings and this time the car died.
All three were later to independently describe a strange silence, a sensation of oddness, 'being underwater' and feeling somehow out of place - all features anyone familiar with the UFO phenomenon would know as the Oz factor but something that the witnesses had never heard of and were reluctant to mention in case we thought they were mad! Eventually, the car restarted and Rachel was able to drive it to a nearby garage. She was later told that the reason the car had come to a sudden halt was that the coil had burnt out. The mechanic said it was unusual in that make of car.
"Our first meeting with the witnesses took place the following Sunday. They were welcoming and eager to tell us about their experiences. Over the next few months we kept in touch, visiting several times and regularly speaking to them on the phone."
As things developed, it become clear that they had over an hour of missing time. Despite valiant efforts on our part, the road where the sighting occurred has never been found, although there may be a good reason for that. To add to the case, as time went on the family experienced further strange incidents. Anne began to remember events from her childhood such as waking fully dressed and with muddy feet and seeing strange triangular craft. On one occasion the boys were outside in the farmyard when they spotted more UFOs in the sky overhead. The electrics in the farmhouse began to cause problems, with kettles burning out and lights exploding. Checks with the neighbours revealed that this had not been a problem for the previous occupants.
However, on the plus side their personal lives were going well with problems seeming to magically resolve themselves. There were other changes too. Rachel decided to change jobs and Anne began doing some charity work. During one visit we remarked on some nice yellow mugs in the kitchen only to be told matter of factly by Anne that while in the past it was a colour she particularly disliked, due to an association with a difficult period in her life, she now loved the colour and was filling the house with all things yellow from the mugs to the boys bedding.
It was becoming clear to us, and more so to the witnesses themselves, that there were some things about the sighting which they only half remembered. Early on, the subject of hypnotism had come up and we had warned that it was something to be approached with extreme caution, if at all, and not something LAPIS would recommend.
Around the end of May 2005, Anne and Rachel got in touch with a television production company who were making a documentary for Sky 1. Discussions took place and it was decided that the family would be prominently featured in the programme. A decision had also been made on the subject of hypnosis. Rachel, who with her science degree is easily the most sceptical member of the family, agreed to undertake regression hypnosis. Filming for the documentary took place in June 2005, much to the bemusement of the locals who had never seen a film crew in the area before. The following day, Rachel was hypnotised by Hull based hypnotherapist Steve Burgess. Â
"The resulting programme, The Real 4400, was aired in the autumn of 2005 and presented what we thought was a reasonably accurate view of the case."
Despite the fact that the hypnotist had told her to remember all that she had recounted, Rachel was not fully aware of her own account until some months later when she was supplied with a copy of the tape. In it, she describes being 'high up in the light' and being comforted by the light when she become anxious about her children's safety. She also commented on the 'missing road' that we'd been trying so hard to find. Under hypnosis she described it as being a stretch of road 'in the air'.

This abduction case from 1974 illustrates absurdity, symbiosis, disbodiment and an early recounting of the now well-known hitchhiker effect.
The Aveley Extraterrestrial Abduction: In October 1974, an ordinary English family experienced the extraordinary - a strange UFO in the sky, mysterious green mist, and three hours of missing time. In the months and years that followed. High Strangeness ensued.
Name/Date/Location: John Day, 32, Sue Day, 28 ("John and Elaine Avis") and their three children; October 27, 1974; Aveley, Essex, UK.
Preliminary: Family left at 9:50 P.M. for 20-minute drive home. An oval light maneuvered overhead and disappeared. The car radio crackled and smoked, and the car entered a dense bank of green "fog" that was luminous, cold, and silent. They lost conscious memory.
Initial activities: The parents had only spotty memory of what happened inside the "fog." A white shaft of light shone through the "fog" and struck the car, which then was lifted upward into a craft. Both remember standing on a balcony and looking down on a car and some people, and both felt they were looking at themselves. Some beings took them to an examination room.
Craft/Beings: Large oval craft with three levels on the interior. Two kinds of beings. One kind was over 6ft. (1.8 m) tall and humanoid, with pink eyes, no visible nose or mouth (perhaps concealed), pale skin, and no hair. They had three fingers and apparently jointless limbs. They wore coveralls that covered their hands and formed a hood over their heads. Outside the craft they wore helmets with visors. They walked with short, graceful steps as they escorted the family around, and seemed to be in charge. One who was about 2 in. (5 cm) taller than the others seemed to be the leader. He also wore a belt. The other beings were about 4 ft. (1.2 m) tall humanoids with bat-like or owl-like faces, large slanted eyes, and large pointed ears. The mouth was a slit, the nose beak-like. The hands had four clawlike digits. The beings had short fur on all exposed portions of their bodies. They moved awkwardly and served solely as examiners. When the tall beings approached, the short ones stepped back. They made humming and chirping sounds.
Onboard features: At the bottom of the craft was a large, oval hangar-like room with girders visible on the walls. The middle level contained the examination room and other functional rooms, each oval and connected by tunnels, and the propulsion system, part of which was a blue sphere. The upper level was the control room, oval, about 30ft. by 40ft. (9 m by 12m). The examination room had tables, and various instruments including a square grid on an arm that descended from the ceiling. There was also a corridor; a "lounge"; a "laboratory"; tunnels; an apparent bedroom; an elevator-like tube that led to a control room; a couch, pictures flashing on a screen, including star maps. The rooms were uniformly illuminated by a light source in the walls. Doors opened out of seemingly solid walls.
Onboard activities: John woke up lying paralyzed on a table. The overhead device descended and seemed to scan his body, giving him a warm and tingling sensation. Some taller beings stood off to the side as two small beings examined him with a penlike instrument. Sue found herself strapped to a table where she was examined by two small beings using penlike instruments and making humming sounds as they worked. John and Sue were given separate tours of the craft, moving through various corridors and tunnels. In one room John reclined on a couch and watched pictures and star maps flashing rapidly on a screen. In another room he was shown what looked like a hologram showing the destruction of earth through misuse. Sue was shown the control room and also saw a screen displaying the solar system and earth, and many pictures and maps in rapid succession. Both were shown, and touched, a glowing sphere that seemed very important to the beings.
Communication: The leader communicated with them via telepathy. He gave extensive answers to questions. At one point he had another being play relaxing music for Sue, explaining that this person's talent was music. He told her that her children were safe. He said that they had no children, reproducing instead through human beings. He told her that the examiners were more afraid of her than she was of them. When John complained that the pictures on the screen were moving too fast, the leader assured him that he would remember them all. He explained the propulsion system to them. A blue sphere was part of the "ion drive" system. Within the earth's atmosphere they used a magnetic drive, which also provided a weapon and gave the craft "stealth" capability, causing it to become invisible. He said they had bases under the sea and used ley lines for navigation. He hinted at a symbiotic relationship between them and humans, and that humans were their children. At the conclusion of the encounter he told them it was time to go, but said they would meet again.
Termination/Return: Both lost consciousness, but Sue retained partial memories of being escorted back to the car in the hangar-like area. They partially regained consciousness in the car, which shuddered and began moving. Both felt a jolt, the "fog" was gone, and they became fully conscious driving along in the car, which was operating normally. They arrived home at 1:00 A.M., a little over three hours later than expected.
Aftermath: Dreams began to reveal the missing time, and further details came out under questioning during interviews. Only John underwent hypnosis with Sue as an observer. He recalled a former life and the missing three hours. His recall triggered Sue's so she was able to describe her onboard experiences without hypnosis. The car malfunctioned, and within a few months broke down completely. Three different cars followed them for several months, and John experienced some peculiar "police" harassment. They experienced poltergeist activity, objects levitating and crashing, peculiar sights and sounds. John and Sue both underwent major personality changes. john had a nervous breakdown two months after the encounter and did not work until the following September. He changed to more satisfying jobs and began writing poetry. Sue went to college. They gave up meat, tobacco, and alcohol.

đŚYoutube - The Aveley Extraterrestrial AbductionÂ
In the summer of 1977 the prolific UFO investigator and author Andrew Collins encountered a case of alien abduction that he would ultimately exalt as the most important British case ever concerning an ordinary young family of five the events allegedly took place some three years prior on Sunday the 27th of October 1974 the happenings were so traumatic involving the late night kidnapping of three young children as well as non-consensual medical examinations by alien beings and three hours of missing time that the parents were too scared to speak out about what they had experienced this fear is said to have
(00:56) worsened with time with the family being subsequently harassed by police stalked by shadowy Men In Black figures and exposed to a whole host of terrifying otherworldly activity in their home ultimately they could cope no longer and reached out to a local UFO group in response to an article published in a local newspaper desperate so they said to come forward and get what had happened to them off their chests through his investigation Collins was able to share their story with the world recording details drawings and even (01:33) disturbing transcripts from hypnotic regression sessions undergone by the family's father family so Collins concluded with thoroughly genuine proving not merely that UFO and alien abduction phenomena is real but that it can happen to any one of us at any time my name is Laura and you are watching the Paranormal scholar [Music] it was almost 10 o'clock at night and the Avis family were on their way home after visiting mother Elaine's parents described as a very normal simple and warm east London family they lived in a
(02:16) semi-detached house in aveley Essex a mere 15 miles from the bustling city of London the area was sporadically Rural and remained suitably so today as such on their drive home from nearby Harold Hill they passed through patches of open Countryside their route was usual south from horn church and along hackton Lane a journey of about nine miles which ought to have taken them 20 minutes for indeed Father John intended to watch a play on the television that night setting off at 10 to 10 provided him with ample time to get home in time and yet unlike so many other occasions
(02:57) the journey back to aveley would not go as planned that night listening to the car radio parents in the front two of the children Karen and Stuart asleep in the back an eldest boy Kevin awake and looking out of the window the family are said to have noticed something strange in the sky above the houses which lined the road it was a pale blue iridescent light shaped like an oval around 500 yards away described by the family as being akin to a bright star it appeared to be following them traveling in the same direction as the car but stopping and
(03:35) starting as it moved at first the family assumed they were looking at a helicopter and yet the longer it seemed to follow them being obscured momentarily as they drove through a small area of Woodland it was clear that they were witnessing something unusual eerily there was no other traffic on the road and so driving through open dark Countryside the only light that the family could see was this peculiar object when the road turned sharply to the left becoming Park Farm Road the light turned also changing its course so it seemed so as to continue following
(04:13) the car after about half a mile it appeared to adjust itself once again putting it on a direct collision course with the road and the Avis family as they approached a block of four terraced houses the light disappeared from view behind thick bushes now on averley road it was at this moment that John and Elaine were consumed by the feeling that something was terribly wrong entering a Bend at 30 miles per hour the air around them is said to have changed sound faltered with neither the engine or the tires of the car being audible the only sound was that of the radio that too however ultimately disappeared
(04:54) as ahead of them on the road just as they came through the bend they were confronted by a wall of green Mist dense some eight to nine feet high it covered the road in front of them the radio cut out crackling and smoking causing John to let go of the steering wheel and pull out the wires with that the lights in the car died also and the engine faltered still traveling at 30 miles per hour the Avis family was subsequently engulfed by the green fog and it was not like any other fog that they had ever experienced curling around the exterior of the car the green atmosphere was
(05:33) chillingly cold Karen and Stuart still asleep in the back the three other occupants struggled to maintain Consciousness everything was hazy and silent and there was a tingling sensation that made it difficult to determine anything even whether or not the car was still moving even so the experience seemed to last no more than a mere second or two then there was a jolt like a car going over a humpback bridge and the green fog was gone the car lights returned as did engine functionality meaning that Jon was able
(06:07) to continue driving his family home Elaine did however for reason she at the time did not understand ask is everybody here she and John were both very nervous and frightened but everyone was indeed there Kevin awake and looking out of the window and Karen and Stuart in undisturbed Slumber when they arrived home the sleeping children were carried to bed and John exhausted sat down to watch his television program it was then that he and his wife realized the incredible it was 1am their 20-minute Journey had taken three hours in the months that followed the Avis
(06:48) family experienced incredible changes their personal relationship with food and drink altered with all members of the family bar the youngest Stewart switching to a vegetarian diet meat once eaten in abundance now provoked not merely nausea but physical illness in the avaces with the parents especially also acquiring suddenly and previously out of character's strong views regarding Humanity's destruction of the planet and plentiful Slaughter of animals alcohol was likewise a skewed in addition John previously a heavy smoker happily smoking some 60 to 70 cigarettes
(07:29) a day completely and suddenly abandoned The Habit after the experience by Christmas he suffered a nervous breakdown with him being forced to quit his job and remain out of the workforce until the following September and so whatever had happened that night in October specifically during those missing three hours affected the Avis family at a fundamental level their world was turned upside down not merely that external forces seemed to be having an impact the family claimed that they were regularly followed by cars with tinted windows in particular they noted
(08:07) that the same three cars followed them well into the summer of next year they were also so they later claimed stalked by Men In Black type figures even describing how on one occasion two who sat in a parked car opposite their house from 9pm until 1am ultimately John was forced to phone the police to get rid of them with the officer who arrived also acting suspiciously turning up on their doorstep so the family claimed too quickly and without proper ID this person supposedly drove away with the other two oddly behaving men
(08:45) stalking is said to have continued with the family's telephone ringing on multiple occasions without there being anyone on the other end or in the worst case only the Sinister sound of heavy breathing this seeming campaign of harassment culminated in John when out and about in his car being persistently stopped by men claiming to be police officers at its peak this was said to have happened at least five times a week with John in order to comply with the law being forced to attend his nearest police station so as to produce all relevant
(09:21) documents each and every time this lasted for around a month and as unsettling as these happenings were for the family they were arguably minuscule compared to some of the other events reported by John and Elaine at home doors closed to the outside world they were disturbed by bizarre noises and what can only be described as Eerie poltergeist-like activity objects moved around the house even when the children were not at home droning noises were heard mostly after midnight as though something was approaching and
(09:59) then hovering over the house the sound would get louder horrifyingly so before cutting out to Absolute silence in time this became such a regular occurrence that others including Elaine's Sister Anne would hear it too when they would visit the house so as to babysit other auditory anomalies included mysterious clicking noises and even something that so the family claimed sounded like Morse code such Was Heard once again late at night in John and Elaine's bedroom the meaning of the sounds was not despite attempts able to be discerned perhaps most chilling of
(10:38) all however was the claim made by their young son Kevin sometime during 1975 or 1976 he woke in the middle of the night to see a strange man standing by the side of his bed the figure so the boy claimed resembled a clown dressed in white there was Little John and Elaine's son could remember other than the figure's appearance and how terrified it made him feel his parents likewise alleged horrific nighttime experiences including fragmented flashes of Dreams in which they were being medically examined by gnomes or similarly small ugly looking
(11:17) things and so by the time researcher and author Andrew Collins became involved in the case in 1977 the Avis family were exhausted by their experience and its aftermath encouraged to reach out after reading an article on UFOs in their local newspaper they also wanted to get what had happened to them off their chests and if at all possible understand it better Collins and fellow UFO researcher Barry King arranged to meet with John and Elaine on the 15th of August 1977 the first step so Collins explained in the
(11:55) article he published the following year was to establish the facts of the case Fire interviews this achieved he also set about proving some of the details of Jon and Elaine's Story such as the length of time that their October night Journey ought to have taken as well as the time that the television program they returned home expecting to watch was broadcast he also tested their pre-existing knowledge of UFOs and famous abduction cases including the arguably similar 1961 Betty and Barney Hill incident
(12:30) aside from basic general knowledge of extraterrestrial phenomena gathered through one or two television programs that they had seen the couple knew little in Colin's words it seemed that their knowledge of the subject was very limited and so suitably impressed as to the genuineness of their claims the researcher then suggested that the couple undergo hypnotic regression this after all may be the way to unlock the secrets as to their missing three hours and yet the avaces Elaine especially were reluctant as terrible as their
(13:08) experiences both original and ongoing had been they were fearful as to where hypnotic regression could lead even so John ultimately agreed after all the trauma of that night was still haunting him and his family the nightmares for example of gnomish creatures and medical experimentations were not going away the avises had to find out what had happened to them during those last three hours and so it was on the 25th of September 1977 that John along with Andrew Collins Barry king and a couple of other researchers met with Dr Leonard Wilder a dental surgeon who had for the past 20
(13:51) years used hypnotism to conduct Research into reincarnation the first session did not result in regression John was said to have been very worried almost canceling the appointment at the last minute and so the doctor instead focused on putting his mind at ease and Performing what are described by Collins as basic arm levitation exercises in order to assess his suitability and sensitivity towards hypnotism it was concluded that John was indeed a very good subject meaning that a second session was arranged for the following Sunday
(14:28) it was on this day that some of the most shocking and Sensational details about the Avis family's experiences were revealed again joined by Andrew Collins and other researchers John was put into a state of hypnosis by Dr Wilder regressed back through his childhood stopping at the ages of 13 11 5 and then three John's voice is said to have changed each time sounding more and more childlike happy with this response Dr Wilder then asked to hypnotize John to recall the night that he and his family drove home to aveley he first asked him
(15:06) to talk about the light that had followed their car it was low John is recorded as having said bright and not one color he then went on to explain in fragmented mesmeric speech how he and his family had driven into a very very thick and green Mist with no lights and no noise all around prompted by the doctor to describe what happened next a hypnotized John is claimed to have said into a big room there he explained he was separated from his children not to worry John mumbled hypnotized that is what the beings had
(15:44) told him and Elaine What followed next revealed through this second hypnotic regression session is nothing short of terrifying after driving into the green Mist Jon and his family are said to have been taken on board an alien craft specifically a big room where he's separated from his wife and children interacted with two species of alien the first were described as tall and arguably Eerie given the Sinister nature of the situation peaceful they wore some manner of one-piece suit which covered nearly all of them aside from a small portion of their face
(16:25) the color of their skin was translucent or Hollow looking and their eyes were said to have been very pink when they communicated with John they did so he suggested telepathically I thought what they were saying John explained hypnotized these two entities are said to have watched on as John was examined by a second species of being lying on some manner of peculiar examination table John is said to have experienced a flat bar pass over the length of his body seemingly scanning him this medical machine was operated by a small servile fur-covered being in
(17:08) time both John and Elaine would produce sketches of the aliens they met on board the craft over the course of John's third meeting with Dr Wilder a session which scared Elaine reluctantly attended also if only to witness and not participate in John revealed further details about his and his family's abduction experience this time being directly interviewed by researcher Andrew Collins John spoke more about the alien he described as the examiner this being's face so he said mumbling hypnotized was not very nice it had big eyes and a mouth unlike ours
(17:47) as the session continued more questions were put to John the answers were stranger and more Sinister than anything that had come before why have they come here asked Dr Wilder to observe and to lead was John's reply they said they need us as hosts when asked were the beings had come from John still hypnotized told the doctor that there was no need for them to say as they had no need to return to where they had come from they chillingly were here to stay to observe and to lead humankind no visit Collins recorded John as having said no visit they are here
(18:29) always John then said that the beings have more than one base on earth when asked where he no longer responded silent still hypnotically regressed neither Dr Wilder nor Collins could get John to say anymore slowly he was brought back to normal consciousness discussing his experience afterwards he told Collins that he felt as though he had been blocked during the session he even hypnotized had been prevented from saying anything more about the beings who had abducted him given the Eerie nature of John's hypnotic regression sessions it is arguably no surprise that Elaine
(19:09) maintained her position of not wanting to undergo the same regardless watching her husband session and more generally discussing her experiences with Andrew Collins and other researchers is said to have triggered Remembrance in the young mother's mind dreams which before had been fragmented and ephemeral became more Vivid with both Elaine and Jon the more that they explored their experiences able to share additional information with Collins as Collins wrote in his 1978 article the hypnosis sessions were valuable in that
(19:47) they began the process of unburdening the witnesses subconscious memories allowing for their conscious memory to return to them not only that they so Collins explained militate against the idea that the Avis family got their heads together to perpetrate An Almighty hoax after all John sessions carefully transcribed for publication in journals at the time were overseen by medical professionals and as such were widely considered remarkably genuine with this in mind the additional details provided by the Avis family can be said to elevate this case once more
(20:24) truly justifying the opening claim made by Andrew Collins of the averly abduction representing one of the most important British cases ever certainly both John and Elaine were able to independently of one another describe and even draw the beings that had abducted them extraordinarily there can be said to be a high level of similarity between husband and wife not only that their experiences whilst on board the alleged alien craft can be said to be very much the same separated from their children John and Elaine were then separated from each other each being led Away by a tall
(21:04) suited leader figure through a hole in the wall which was made to appear by the being beyond the whole was a room this space big gray and oval was where for both John and Elaine the examination took place lying and in Elaine's case strapped to an examination table the small third examiner entity is said to have operated various scanner-like instruments watched Always by the tall beings John in one of his many interviews with Andrew Collins claimed that he felt a warm tingling sensation in the region the scan was immediately
(21:41) covering there was also a pen-like apparatus which The Examiner used on all parts of the couple's bodies with Elaine reporting that the being paid particular attention to her left side around the region of her kidney she did not know why regardless she was very frightened and struggled against her straps at this point she told of how one of the tall entities advised her that they couldn't do anything with her while she was like that and then proceeded to place his middle finger on her forehead and his two outer fingers on the outside of her eyes
(22:17) causing her to black out horrifyingly this was not the only time that the couple reported being made to black out or have their Consciousness altered in some way by the tall suited beings John for example upon being brought into the examination room through the magically appearing hole is said to have blacked out after one of the tall entities touched his left shoulder then later on in the abduction when Elaine still distressed at having been forcibly separated from her children refused to consume food that
(22:50) the entities offered to her food which she suspected may have been drugged she was exposed to some manner of Mind Control one of the beings concerned by her distress offered to play her some music bizarrely the being then used their mind and their hands twiddling their fingers slowly so as to create a soothing sound similar to a high-pitched harp upon hearing it Elaine felt herself slowly relaxed even as her mind raced for her children sensing her continuing concern the being is reported as having said to her your children are safe you value your
(23:29) children we do not reproduce we do not have children we reproduce through you you are our children undoubtedly such a statement is terrifying especially when considered in relation to some of the other details reported by John and Elaine the fixation on examining their physical bodies and even the fact that at some point during the abduction presumably one of the many times the couple were unconscious the beings are claimed to have undressed them changing them into one-piece suits similar to those which the tall beings themselves wore and of course the Eerie
(24:10) statement revealed during John's second hypnotic session they need us as hosts as the Abduction progressed the initial medical examination over John and Elaine claimed to have been given a tour of the alien craft with both of them being instructed to lie down and watch a screen this screen so they both reported displayed a series of Rapid images of maps and pictures and diagrams too rapid for either John or Elaine to properly remember each image was so John explained accompanied verbally with a voice inside his mind providing a complete
(24:48) explanation for each when he expressed the tool being who was with him that the images were moving too fast for him to remember he was told once again not to worry it is all being remembered by your mind the entity is said to have communicated to him for Elaine she too struggled to recall any of what she had been shown telling Andrew Collins that the experience was akin to having the contents of an encyclopedia pumped into one's head all in one go something that both John and Elaine did remember however was being shown some manner of advanced hologram
(25:26) Planet specifically so they alleged to have been told the planet of the beings in its last years ruined by pollution and other natural problems the beings explained that it had been lost along with two of their sons in one of their moons through misuse in Elaine's testimony she recalled being told this is where we come from and then this is the seed of life our past and your future our whole existence oddly John also reported something which he was told by the beings that in addition to how they travel to earth to use
(26:03) humans as hosts that they are us describing how the beings came to Earth John explained that they were able to travel very fast almost instantaneous this so he was told was achieved by using some sort of activator that was able to convert particles and manipulate gravitational forces that thus moved the craft as for navigating Earth's atmosphere the ship is said to have utilized something called magnetic Drive once again suggesting particle manipulation ultimately the abduction ended with John and Elaine being returned to their car
(26:42) and their children while the two youngest Karen and Stewart appeared to have remained asleep on the back seat of the vehicle for the entire length of the experience their eldest son Kevin who had been awake at the point of driving into the mysterious green Mist had seemingly been taken Elsewhere on the craft to have his own abduction experience 10 years old at the time his parents understandably did not want him to undergo hypnotic regression and indeed did not even allow Andrew Collins to talk all that much with him I have only been allowed to speak to Kevin twice concerning the incident the researcher
(27:22) wrote in his article it is however reported that the boy once turned to his father and quite out of the blue said they gave me a lot of things to do when I grow up but I've forgotten them all and certainly whatever these things to do may have been the family ass has already been discussed made many lifestyle changes after their abduction experience from vegetarianism to abandoning alcohol and smoking and synthetic colorings and preservatives in foodstuffs not inherently negative choices by any stretch of the imagination and yet for all of this it
(28:02) is difficult to ignore the undeniably Sinister nature of what the Avis family experienced that night in 1974. after all this is by no means the only instance of alien abduction that sees supposed abductees be exposed to what can only be described as environmentalist propaganda images of natural destruction a planet doomed through waste and misuse and whilst we can all agree that pollution and a lack of care in regards to natural resources are problems we Face here on Earth it is distinctly distasteful to consider how an extraterrestrial species
(28:42) might regard it as their duty to abduct examine indoctrinate and thus forcibly make mankind understand these issues all because they want to help us naturally but perhaps I am getting ahead of myself for certainly what the avis's reported is incredible Sensational shocking difficult to believe meaning that there is no way we can be certain as to the truth of their supposed experiences indeed whilst Andrew Collins seems to have been suitably impressed most especially in regards to Jon's hypnotic regression sessions it is not absurd to suggest that prior to their interviews John and Elaine may have colluded so as
(29:27) to present similar narratives to the researcher ditto their artwork whilst we are told that these similarities were produced independently of one another as a married couple John and Elaine would have had plenty of opportunities to fabricate a suitably believable coherent fantasy before meeting with researchers like Collins and yet whilst it is appropriate especially when discussing things such as this to deploy a healthy dose of skepticism motive must also be considered John and Elaine Avis are pseudonyms it took them three years to come forward to discuss what had happened to them and in the aftermath as
(30:08) far as can be discerned they made no attempt to commercialize their experiences or profit from them in any way they simply as they told Collins wanted to get what had happened to them off their chests they were a normal family a normal scared family and so what would have been the purpose in perpetrating a hoax there is no obvious answer of course that is not to say that all of what has been discussed here is true only that the reason why it might not be is not abundantly clear moreover the similarities between their alleged abduction experience and those of others
(30:49) is in short astonishing the most obvious of course is the Barney and Betty Hill incident of September 1961. during which an American couple driving back in their car to Portsmouth New Hampshire from a vacation in Niagara Falls and Montreal at first witnessed a UFO before being abducted the UFO similar to the Avis family's testimonies was said to have been bright and moving and the abduction once again similar to the avises was revealed through hypnotic regression sessions how is he getting into you I can see it in his face
(31:37) and keep looking just keep looking could you hear it oh I got a police binoculars away from my eyes look your hearing tell you this oh no he didn't see it you felt he said it all right I'll dig in my head away Vivid recurring dreams odd buzzing sounds at home and even thought transference communication with the beings who abducted them again perhaps the avaces were seeking to imitate this high-profile case but again to what end most especially as according to Andrew Collins neither John nor Elaine had any knowledge of the Hill abduction
(32:25) another case of note in the averley abduction is that of the Green Man of iklimore taking place in December 1987. this story alleges an encounter with a small green bean by a former police officer an open Countryside in Yorkshire England the man is said to have been subsequently abducted something which was only revealed under hypnosis after he was like the Avis family pursued by mysterious Men in Black during his abduction he again similar to the avaces was shown some manner of distressing film whilst on board an alien craft
(33:03) similar in theme to that which Jon and Elaine reported the film supposedly contained lots of scenes of Destruction including starving people and waste going into rivers the man is also reported to have been shown a second film by his abductors however when asked under hypnosis what the second film contained he simply replied I'm not supposed to tell anyone about the other film it's not for them to know just as in John's experience the beings so it seemed were able to influence and restrict the mind of someone they had abducted even whilst in
(33:41) a hypnotically regressed state ultimately like Jon and Elaine before him this abductee chose to remain anonymous he was not interested in Fame and Fortune only in sharing an incredible and terrifying thing that had happened to him and so if one is to consider that these experiences have even a kernel of Truth in them you must forgive me for not buying the alleged aliens story about them being here to help us time and time again abduction experiences proved the opposite abductees even if they claim to
(34:19) be privileged by what they have seen are left traumatized even making changes to their Lifestyles with environmentalism being the most popular indeed those who have worked with alleged abductees in the capacities therapists have been reporting this trend for decades with it not unusual for abductees to uproot their lives in the aftermath of an experience quite literally in some cases running off into the Wilderness to start afresh as Park Rangers or environmental activists of course as has been said this may not be inherently unhealthy but all things
(34:55) considered does make one Wonder as to the true motives of these Sinister seemingly mind-controlling shape-shifting abducting entities physically weak but mentally strong it may be that by showing humans distressing films of destroyed planets whilst medically examining them and taking away their children they are attempting to force an outcome that favors them but ultimately not us a way to disarm to erode their enemy before invasion the precise details are ghastly to consider before concluding this case I want to focus on what may be an overlooked
(35:38) detail in the overly abduction after all it is easy no doubt to get lost in The Sensational claims of tall beings and ugly furred examiners and impressive planetary Holograms such makes it tempting to dismiss it all as nonsense in this way it is in the mundanity that we might find a Slither of much needed realism describing his abduction experience to Andrew Collins John said rather as a throwaway comment that the craft environment in which he found himself was rather Bland everything was either colorless or gray the lighting was low and the only smell that he could
(36:18) remember was whilst he was being examined something akin to Ozone a gas with a distinctly pungent odor nothing more was said about this in Collins report and arguably why should it have been elaborated upon details about the beings and what they were doing to the couple are arguably far more interesting and yet the smell of ozone can be said to be the mundane realism that those of us struggling to believe this case and wider abduction phenomenon may very well need after all given the context of the claim that the
(36:55) Avis family were abducted taken on board an alien vehicle that not only traveled across space at high almost impossible speed but was also capable of navigating the Earth's atmosphere at low orbit a smell akin to Ozone is highly relevant as part of my ongoing research I have spoken to an anonymous source with a U.
(37:20) S Air Force background specifically in regards to Space Warfare who claims that an ozone-like smell makes good sense in terms of extraterrestrial craft in the course of our dialogue they highlighted invar a nickel iron alloy with anomalous thermal and magnetic properties useful for error structure applications explaining how it produces an odd smell when mixed with the air or skin according to their professional experiences the closest thing this smell resembles is Ozone being very sharp chemically and not pleasant at all given the claim made by John and other abductees that these beings are able to
(37:59) travel very fast and in low orbit it would make sense for their crafts to be constructed of or using materials with high dimensional stability invar and alloy which demonstrates a relative lack of expansion or contraction with temperature changes maybe one such material able to withstand the physical pressures that come with the high level of acceleration required for space travel and low earth orbit that Jon somehow knew this mentioning the smell of ozone can be said to be the detail that makes his testimony extremely compelling indeed my contact also revealed in cloaked and covert
(38:39) terms that the U.S Air Force is already using this material in classified devices that are designed for low earth orbit and so whatever these things are and wherever they might come from I would caution against disbelieving in all cases most especially when the details are as specific and significant as this it is unsettling and perhaps easier and more desirable to turn away but I'm sorry to say that given the current combined weight of inter extra ultra-terrestrial testimony it may very well be the time to pull our heads from
(39:17) the sand and start paying attention to what is really going on around us thank you so much for watching I truly hope you found this video interesting and an extra special thank you to our members both here on YouTube and on patreon as ever your support is tremendously appreciated and if you cannot wait until my next video why not watch the ones suggested on screen thank you again until next time
The A70 UFO Incident: (Scotlandâs First âOfficially Reportedâ UFO Abduction)
Many countries the world over have seen their fair share of UFO abductions, where people claim to have been taken onboard a âspaceshipâ and subjected to a terrifying medical procedure. In this book, author and researcher Malcolm Robinson, presents Scotlandâs âfirstâ officially reported UFO abduction which concerns the abduction of two men from their car as they were driving down the A70 road between the city of Edinburgh and the small town of Tarbrax.
This âupdatedâ book, contains ânewâ information and unseen hypnosis transcripts, and sheds new light on that incredible night. This is the true and terrifying story of Garry Wood and his friend Colin Wright, who, on the evening of August 17th, 1992, were subjected to an astonishing and frightening experience of which has stayed with them to this day. If you only ever read one book on UFO abductions, then this should be the one.
Around 10pm on the evening of 17th August 1992, Garry Wood was driving his car along the A70 towards Lanarkshire with his friend, Colin Wright, when they noticed a black object with no lights in the sky above them. Out of nowhere a brilliant bright wall of light fell from the sky in front of the car. Both men were transfixed before they blacked out. âWhen they came to, their now stationary vehicle was facing the other way, and a quick look at his watch by Wood revealed an hour had passed.
âThe pair agreed to be hypnotically regressed and recalled in precise detail of feeling intense pain âlike an electric shockâ as three âcreaturesâ approached their car, before the pair were taken aboard the black object â which was a spacecraft â and stripped of their clothing and examined by strange creatures.

While these examinations were going on, Wood stated that red-hot poker-like objects were inserted into his eyes, and he could also hear the cries of other human beings around him in the room.Wood claimed, another taller figure was also present during the examinations. This figure was around six feet tall, with a large head, dark eyes and only four fingers on each hand. Perhaps most startling is Wood stated this tall figure said to him, âSanctuary â we are here already and we are coming here!â
âMaybe the point worth noting most about this particular incident, is that four years later a two page report titled âUnexplained Aerial Sightingâ based on the events had found itâs way all the way to the Department of Defense for possible further investigation.
