Stone-throwing
The whole house lit up as if by a fire
Apparitions, or supposed apparitions, of strange or grotesque dogs or other animals (a not uncommon feature of poltergeist stories)
Attested parallels to the phenomena alleged to have happened so long ago
The apparent dropping or throwing of stones through a ceiling or roof is a phenomenon that has been reported in a number of poltergeist cases; I have notes of examples from (to take a few at random) Sumatra in 1903, Java in 1831, Bratislava in 1927, and Jamaica in 1931. In the case at Klopotiva in 1880.
No holes could be found through which the stones might have passed.
