Beyond Area 51: The Mysteries of the Planet's Most Forbidden, Top Secret Destinations
Few have ventured into the many heavily guarded, top-secret locations scattered across the earth. Even fewer have emerged with stories to tell. Yet every now and then the common man is given an illicit glimpse of something extraordinary...
In Beyond Area 51, Mack Maloney explores the truths behind the many myths and legends surrounding some of the world’s most mysterious locales. From the Homestead Air Force base in Miami, Florida to Russia’s Kapustin Yar, Maloney investigates incredible reports of extraterrestrial experimentation on animals, UFOs with road rage, and other unbelievable tales beyond our wildest imaginings. Filled with fascinating, true accounts, Beyond Area 51 will convince any skeptic of the infinite possibilities of what exists on, and beyond, our tiny planet.
Perm Anomalous Zone ( M-zone, M-s triangle ) was discovered in 1989. It is situated in Russia, Ural region, near village Molebka, approximately 280 km from Ekaterinburg, at space of 70 sq.km. It is famous for constant UFO-cases of various kinds and contacts with representatives of other civilizations.
This place is said to be landing - spot of space ships, coming from other Galaxies. Nearly everyone who visited this place experienced something unknown, enigmatic, some presence of miracle forces. Nearly everyone felt there a unique comfort of soul. After first trip to M-zone people come back again. The place is highly energetic, and only positive influence on the human health has been noticed. More to this, there were cases of full recovery of the sick people without any medical treatment, traditional or not. Healthy people feel the general improvement in all spheres: physical, mental, spiritual, moral , etc. It is nessessary to mention the " moral effects " of M-zone: the drawbacks of one's character seem to disappear here, the good intentions and high feelings come to life. One's soul becomes cleaner, higher and calmer. You can almost feel yourself becoming a better man.
Also the "creative effect" of M-zone is quite noticeable: the abilities of people are sharpening there and sometimes new talents and capacities, unknown before, begin to realize themselves. Extra-sensual people come here to refill their energetic resources and to strengthen their ability to cure sick people.
M-zone is situated in a distant region, deep province where an access is difficult thus it is sure to be ecologically pure. The nature is very picturesque there.Wonderful woods full of berries and mushrooms, beautiful river enable to combine research work and rest perfectly. As for me and my friends, we confronted nearly every miracle in M-ZONE and have video-photo materials with UFO.

The M Triangle: the most UFO intensive area in Russia
Undoubtedly the most UFO intensive area in Russia is a remote region near the Ural mountains, approximately 600 miles east of Moscow. Known as the M-Triangle this is a place renowned for its weird phenomenon and strange manifestations. Mysterious happenings are part and parcel of daily life. Witnesses report seeing strange lights in the sky as well as flying objects, and encounters with translucent beings who emerge from the forest! People even report signs and letters written in the sky!
Russian writer Alexander Myagchenkov, author of the book "UFO - Unannounced visit", says that "incidents that have happened in that area are hard to believe, and it cannot be compared to any other place"! Myagchenkov claims that people who have visited the M-Triangle have sometimes developed astonishing powers and super-human abilities.
Extraordinary powers
One notable example of acquiring extraordinary powers is the journalist and cosmonaut Pavel Mukhortov. Discharged from the army for health reasons, Mukhortov later found work as a journalist. Whilst reporting for a newspaper he began to read more and more about the strange powers associated with the M-Triangle and decided to visit the place for himself.
Apparently the area was already the focus of a KGB investigation, and this strengthened Mukhortov's resolve to find out the facts for himself. What he discovered was a remote and isolated area that immediately felt strange and eerie. Some of his group quickly became ill, and Mukhortov himself felt overcome by wild emotions.
Photos of strange flying objects were taken, and upon returning to Moscow Mukhortov felt changed. He believed he had been filled with great knowledge concerning aerospace physics, and a short time afterwards was admitted to the Soviet Space Programme as a cosmonaut. He believes the M-Triangle completely changed his life and believes it gave him abilities beyond his wildest expectation.
Unusual Events
Another Russian author with experience of the M-Triangle is Emil Bachurin, who later wrote a book on the subject. He associates the triangle with many strange occurrences! The most amazing of these concerns the incredible events that befell a visiting research team. Very early in their visit they encountered a strange energy source and were chased into the surrounding woods by translucent lights that exuded a peculiar heat. As a result several members of the group received serious burns!
Suicide
Later a glowing object stunned one of the research group, and one of the men was so disturbed by the area that he later committed suicide. Bachurin claims that UFO's are frequently seen in the area, either flying by or landing, leaving behind areas of increased radiation.
A visiting American television crew for the syndicated programme "Sightings", was allowed access to the M-Triangle, but warned to stay no longer than 24 hours. The Russian government was at pains to point out the considerable dangers of the area - events and happenings that though frequently investigated, could not be explained.
Encircling Lights
Almost immediately the visiting TV crew were acquainted with the areas strange powers. Weird lights encircled their encampment, and bizarre events and phenomena were captured on film. Locals were quick to relate their own wealth of experiences ranging from flashing red balls, to mysterious objects that flew about the sky. So common were these happenings that many of the locals saw nothing unusual in them and were even bored by them. Said one old woman: "I've seen saucers numerous times. To say they are nonsense is nonsense. We know what we see"!

Geological Peculiarities of an Anomalous Zone
The acquaintance with a map of gravity anomalies, that was drawn up after local regional gravity survey, gave following results : the considered section is located in the zone of a fluent transition from positive anomalies in the West to the fields of negative scene in the East. Some curve of isolines in the latitude direction makes it possible to suppose a presence of a latitude tectonic breach. This theory, is also indirectly confirmed by the broad orientation of the valley of Molebka river, that runs into the Sylva river near the village.
The plan of magnetic anomalies of a vertical constituent of a magnetic earth agent, is more interesting. The M-zone is situated directly on the latitude oriented border of its positive and negative composites. This proves possible presence of a latitude breach here. At the same time, the submeridional extent of the Sylva river in the region of Molebka village, the presence of a distinctly expressed ledge in the relief between the right and the left banks of the river, show the possibility of the presence of meridional tectonic transgression here. We can assume, that the M-zone is located on the intersection of the two tectonic structures, breaches of sublatitude and submeridional extent. The crossing line of these hypothetical breaches may actually be a subvertical channel, coming deep down the earth entrails. The mine mortars and fluids, come up this channel, creating a geo- anomalous zone.

Molebka village, spring 1996
O.I. Syromjatnikov, ufologist,Perm.
- The Perm aerogeological detachment of a central geological party presented a map with a detailed comments to it : " In the district of Molebka village, the local anomaly with a solidity of leneaments of megafissure of 600 points and up, is discovered. These solidity anomalies appear within boundaries of a neotectonic blocs, where the intensity of erosion processes reaches the maximum point. It is well-seen on the materials of a distance survey."
This diagram shows the centers of neotectonic activity, and Molebka is in one of those centers.
L.A. Gershanok, a docent of the geophysics cathedra, put forward a hypothesis based on the facts that were obtained as a result of a lengthy practical observations. They showed, that there is so-called limestone reef in the region of anomalous zone, not so deep under the ground. The boring results showed, that the reef is shaped as a dome with a steep slopes, full of cracks. The radiation in the M-zone is 2-3 points lower than normal.
My name is Valery Yakimov, I'm 32. In the late 60-s, I used to spend a lot of time in Molebka village, where my grandmother lived. From my early childhood, I remember some places that adults tried to avoid. They also forbade children to visit there, explaining it by presence of the "evil forces". Later, exploring those places, I felt presence of Unknown World there, and observed UFO's of different shapes.
I had my first meeting with Unknown World ( U.W. ) in summer 1970. Gathering raspberries, I did not notice that I had left other kids far behind, and found a bush with very big berries on it. I got a can full of raspberries there, and started eating the sweet berries. Suddenly, I felt something was wrong. There was a feeling of a dome all covering me, and everything around me stood still. There was no wind, no movement in the air, silence, and a definite presence of someone invisible. For the first few minutes, I was interested, and the berries were very good, but then this silence and some kind of a dead atmosphere around me made me horrified, and I ran away in panic. Experienced feelings were so strong, that I ran without stopping, and had lost my can with berries. Grandmother calmed me, saying that it was a bear that scared me. Many years had passed since then, but I perfectly remember this feeling of a dome over my head.
In 1991, my mother went to the village for a vacation. She told me that she got into the "zone of silence", when gathering berries. Being there, she felt that she was observed, and got scarred. I found out that this place was on the same spot where I had been under the dome in my childhood..
The place where I saw Black Man. Spring 1996
My first research expedition in M-zone was in the autumn of 1989. I must say I am a sensible person, and I think that even very strong and unusual feelings, should always be confirmed by some material evidence. I'll tell about my first impressions. I had been here often in my childhood, I knew the nature around the place pretty well, but in M-zone another world was clearly felt. There was a feeling that I had come home and walked in my own garden. Just about everybody had the same perceptions of the place. I had a feeling of patience and love in my soul; I got over our vanity of life and looked at it from aside. I saw answers for questions that tormented me, and, the most important, I understood it was a normal condition of people's soul.
What was so startling for the first time ?
First,
an unusual dome - shaped sky. There was a sensation that all the stars are concentrated overhead, also in 4-5 kilometers the sky was absolutely normal.
Second,
the chaotic movements of the stars. 25 or 30 stars made inconceivable trajectories floating overhead inside of a circle that they had formed. Everybody who was in M-zone that time ( about 60 people ) observed it every evening, from midnight to 1 o'clock in the morning, during a four day period.
Third,
there were unusual geometrical figures - a square, and a triangle, that appeared at a distance of 2 or 3 km. against the background of a forest, always in the same place. The sides of the figures were clearly seen through the binoculars. Their colors were different: silver, white, and bright blue. The figures always appeared one by one, and disappeared when someone tried to approach them. Lots of people saw them, unfortunately, the figures did not come out on the photos.
Fourth,
spheres of white and orange colors, with diameter of 1 to 3 meters, on 3 to 20 meters height, on 500 to 2000 meters distance. Several times there were groups of 3 to 5 white spheres.
About the white and orange spheres.
There was an impression, that they behaved reasonably. When floating over us ( there were 3 people with me ) one after another, they half reduced richness of their glint, stopped for 3-5 seconds, and then continued moving. Later, I observed a white ray coming out of the spheres. There were times when the ray appeared first, and then the sphere would come. Objects would appear and disappear unexpectedly. Their speed was from 0 to 100 km/h.
About little orange spheres.
Their size is like a size of a tennis ball, and they are always moving. Their speed is not less than 40 km/h. Appearing and disappearing instantly. They are observed from distance not less than 10 meters. Time of appearance - 2-3 seconds.
On photos, both types of spheres are either invisible or seen as black points and diffused round forms. During the first time ( 6-10 october 1989 ), I observed white and orange spheres, 4 times, little orange spheres - 10-12 times. Other people also saw them.
Fifth,
the strongest impression from the first visit to M-zone was a meeting with a "Black man". On the third night, my friend and I went to show M-zone to several newcomers. I took them to the spot where the feeling of the presense of the Unknown World was especially strong. I suggested to divide into groups and walk part of the way - about 1 km. - one by one. My friend left first, I left in 10 minutes, others were supposed to leave in the next 10 min. It was a moonlite night, and I could see the woodish way, strewed with leafs, perfectly.
I came down a small ravine, and suddenly something made me put my face up. In two steps, I saw a man of 3 meters growth, of a black color, nontransparent, proportional. I can not say for how long I was horror- -stricken, looking of him, but I found myself running with a small lantern down 10 meters of that ravine. In several minutes, I caught up with my friend, who was waiting for me in the meadow. He was absolutely astounded by my story. He saw nothing, just as were other people that came later, although I still had a feeling we were not alone. I took their indifference easily, and forgot that I had seen something. When we came back to the camp, I did not even have an idea to tell anybody about my meeting.
But in 2 hours, an unacquainted girl came to me and said, that she has seen a "little green man" of 1-1.20 meters growth, in the meadow. He walked by her side for a while, and then touched her. She felt a burn during that touch. When she told me, where that meadow was, it appeared to be the place where I saw a "Black man". She saw a "little green man" in the daylight. She, also, was walking with a group, and suddenly saw someone walking beside her, at about 3-5 meters distance. Then she soon was left behind by the group, and in that moment, when she felt something again, she turned around. She saw a little man that looked more like a child. The girl looked at him for some time, then he suddenly came closer, and touched her hand. The girl felt her skin burn, she got scared and ran away without looking back.
I asked her if she had told anybody else about this meeting. She answered that she did not want to. When I asked why she had come to me, she said she did not know herself. She was afraid somehow, and something drew her to me. She took my story about the "Black man" calmly. We did not tell anybody else of our adventures.
Later, we went to that meadow again. We were not afraid. We had a feeling of peace and calmness, of a native home, of something close and kind, that we could feel with our souls, but could not see. Only the next day, I was questioned about what I had seen.
That's why I've opened the Perm Anomalous Zone for myself. It struck me so, that every trip there becomes a new revelation and a new enigma for me. It is the unforgetable meetings with an Unknown World that reveals itself there ....
Based on my researches I can say that:
1. This Unknown World is very kind.
2. The vibration of human soul are understandable to it.
3. To contact it with the help of some technical aides seems impossible or very problematic; it is possible only to registrate the energetical remaining phenomena or its occasional appearance.
4. This World doesn't hide from us, everything depends upon us:
we people are almost always in such moral and soul condition which doesn't permit us to see all the phenomena directly and make a contact with the Unknown World. Any human being who can elinimate the horror, of the unknown, who can drive away from his heart and soul the negative vibration and fill him self up with the vibration of love and peace, the interest for the Unknown, can see and feel its phenomena which were bespoken above. I'm absolutely sure of it, and the best proof of it is my own experience and experience of my friends.
5. Many people who learn about this place are eager to get here, but only those come here for whom it is really nessessary. It is not clear how it happens, and why some people feel such a strong desire to come when they get to know about this place. But surely if it is nessessary to come here, you will come by all means.
6. The contact with the Unknown World almost always happens tete-a-tete, and each human being experiensces it in his own way. The work with photo and video cameras and other conscious methods lower, the possibility of visual ( not casual ) witnessing of it.
The Russian 'Twilight Zone'
The Russian 'Twilight Zone'
The following narrative is from a longtime reader and wiki contributor Gillian Ann Abbas. She gives us a description of her August 2010 expedition to the 'Russian Bermuda Triangle' set in the very rural Ural mountain area of Kishertsky District of Perm Krai, Russia, located on the bank of the Sylva River

My Trip to the Anomalous Zone, August 2010
Originally published October 2010
Without troubling the reader with an account of my journey from Bahrain to Russia, as all travels by air present pretty much the same features which have been so frequently and so well described by others, I will just give a simple account of my actual holiday and amazing experiences in a country where still, very little is known by the West.
Russia lies at the back, an undiscovered country, with fresh and original people.
Far from the concrete cities, in small villages in forest clearings and half-forgotten river valleys, where Western clothes and culture never really seem to penetrate, lives a lost family of our brothers and sisters. It was amongst them that I went to stay for two weeks, to experience and understand a small part of the true Russian life , in a remote area where Western Europeans rarely venture.
Sadly, there still exists a great ignorance of Russia and, as always is the result of great misunderstanding, making the popular notions about this country not only imperfect but absurd. These ideas partly derive from a distorted legends of past wars, partly from sympathy with nationalities or causes which the Russian Government has treated badly and very largely from fiction. The last is the fiction of many writers/reporters who remain wholly ignorant of the country, so we’ve ended up with the Russian spy, the Russian conspirator, who are popularly conceived as figures of melodrama or comic opera, but not of actual life! To these novel writers, Russia has been the happy hunting ground, where they’ve been able to lay on the colours as they choose and make up fantastic scenes worthy of Arabian Nights.
It’s actually an impossible task to give anyone an idea of the immensity of this great country which rolls away eastwards from Germany for nearly two thousand miles before the Rural Mountains rear their jagged peaks between Europe and Asia, but this was our destination. The country is a plains country, a bit like the American prairies in some parts, but different in being for great stretches covered with forests of birch, the Russian national tree, pines or oak and appearing wonderfully green and fresh in those parts.
After a two hour car ride from the city airport, along the one and only dirt road full of holes and ruts which lent a lot of excitement to the our journey, we finally arrived at our destination, this New World that had aroused so much expectation in me and perhaps not a little fear of the unexpected as well.
But now I was really there in Molebka, a fact of which I had to constantly to reassure myself, so unreal and impossible did it seem. Here at last was a place that did not disappoint one's expectations, but even far surpasses one’s wildest dreams.
Situated on the left bank of the River Sylva, a foreground of meadow land and small log cabins with forest masses either side, this sparsely populated village of maybe a few hundred people at most, bordering the Perm territory and Sverdlovsk Region is truly remarkable for the salubrity of its pristine environment, beguiling forests, mountain and river views. Strange and old in every feature, old log cabins, new people and customs, and above all, a richness of coloring that quite defies description, which was the most impressive feature of the scene.
The village and the anomalous zone, occupy about 44 square miles and has often been called the favourite UFO village, famous for abnormal events, myths and the fabulous kingdom of Shambala, a place of happiness, tranquility and peace. The area still attracts many tourists, especially at the time of the annual festivals, for instance the festival called “Energy of Life – Atmosphere of Love” , beckoning many Russians, UFO researchers, psychotherapists and astrologists.
I hardly need to emphasize that after the above narrative, the wonderful hospitality that we received on every hand in that village, not least from our host Valery, who accommodated us throughout our stay in a quaint traditional log cabin that stood at the top of a hill. We had a wonderful view of the surrounding area and countryside. It was almost humiliating to see the way we were greeted on every side and everyone showed the liveliest interest in making us comfortable and at home. It was fantastic and a good start to our trip.
Over the next two weeks, daily we’d wake up to a glorious morning of sun and clear blue skies, which was inspiriting and inspiring. We’d tumble out and troop off down to the river Sylva where we could take a dip or simply sit back and inhale the amazing magnificent panorama which surrounded us, range after range of level topped, interminable forest and tree clad hills with here and there peaks rising. During those hot days lasting the entire holiday, many times we’d venture off down the steep dirt track deep in dust, down to the sun-baked hills that bordered the river, to search for stones and fossils.
Several hours were whiled away before we ever thought of returning to the cabin and were not sorry to find in the village shop a good "deposit" of beer and soda drinks. The total effect was wonderful, fairy like, a dream of the East, and I was not sorry to sit there till late afternoon, watching the river shadows slowly creep upon the hills and forest.
One of the many incredible sights that kept me in total wonder was witnessing the awe-inspiring night sky that never seemed to disappoint us, no matter where we ventured, including our regular night trips into different locations in the forest and across the river. Above us, appeared a domed-shaped sky that reminded me of the Milky Way, upon which thousands of silent, glistening stars were throwing their mysterious light down upon the forest and village.
I lost count of the shooting stars , as there were so many each night, and then the other mysterious ‘stars’ that moved, stopped and moved again, with other ‘stars’ following behind. In my mind’s eye I tried to rationalize this phenomena and asked Valery if these moving stars were maybe a sputnik or other type of satellite, to which the reply was that it would not be feasible for two or three sputniks or satellites to be traveling in such close proximity to each other. I then thought of all the numberless spots in Russia and elsewhere in the world like this where one could have a bird’s eye view of such amazing phenomena! I felt so privileged and fortunate to be there and in that spot.
My best days were spent setting off from the log cabin in the late evening and walking to the forest in darkness and the pitch black of night, followed by a faithful dog called Jake who looked like a cross between a Siberian Husky and wolf. His owners had died to he was a free spirit to come and go as he pleased from cabin to cabin in the village.
Jake following us in the forest at night
Before leaving we were soberly advised by Valery to try to conquer our fear and avoid using our torch/flash light that I had tucked away inside my jacket pocket; a perfectly sensible thing to do considering we could barely make out anything three meters ahead of us. Initially we were petrified, stumbling along those long, narrow country lanes, hands held outright as if we were blind automatons. This was something I never ever envisaged, trudging along in the middle of nowhere in the darkness for an hour or so, ostracized from civilization, occasionally tripping in the ruts and uneven surfaces, spending actual time alone in that deafening silence and solitude.
Eventually, our eyes and balance soon became accustomed to the new surroundings and we were soon introduced to many places where we could sit and contemplate. In the darkness of the night, we would soon start to experience something unique and wonderful; the inner knowing that somehow we were protected and looked after, a great exercise to calm the nerves and connect more deeply with one’s own inner resources. Soon the silence was welcomed and I actually began to feel something new; a heightened sense of unity with everything.
So many times, sitting in those magical parts of the forest, we would witness strange balls of orb-like balls of lights appearing and disappearing in those forests, and in the clearings it became even more apparent that we were the ones being watched. It seemed almost like a game of hide and seek with us being the seekers and them the watchers.
‘Don’t be scared and have no fear’ were the words I clearly heard in my dream the second night in the village, so it reminded me that I should not be unduly nervous about anything including the odd bear that might spring out, however I had be told that there were none in that area! I actually believed it too!
On one of our many trips, we were taken across the river by the Argo(An amphibious off-road All Terrain Vehicle), to visit an area known to some as Shambala or place of happiness. It was plain to see why some considered it to be so spectacular; the incredible view surrounding both sides of the river, mountains and forest were stunning and I felt as if I’d been transported to another time zone. Our host Valery explained that he believed this place to be a gateway or portal into another dimension. We climbed up a tree clad cliff to get a better view across the river of this eerie place, and I could sense that many had been there like us, to get a glimpse of this very special place.
One of the most spectacular evenings was spent traveling by car to an unknown destination deep in the forest. On the journey, I was told that attention should be paid to animal sounds in the night and odd animal appearances as apparently these are good omens for extraterrestrials to communicate with us in many ways, including the sending of animal messengers. They too can help us to perceive nature as part of our greater reality and the animal kingdom provides another dynamic communication network to tap into.
Keeping an open mind and heart on this, I was completely taken aback when, on the dusty, dirt track we were suddenly confronted by a huge owl and I mean huge! It just sat there and took little notice of us as we gawped in amazement at this beautiful bird, till eventually it flew off into the dense undergrowth. A few moments later, the figure of a fox ran across our path and again, into the undergrowth where it simply vanished.
Last and not least, a hare skipped and hopped its way in front of our car without a care in the world. That for us was the icing on the cake!
Eventually we reached our destination wherever that was, in the middle of nowhere, pitch black and deadly silent. That night the sky was crystal clear, the air chilled and crisp with zillions of stars twinkling above us; the perfect conditions for UFO hunting. Well, I honestly did not know what to expect but never in my wildest dreams did I believe that I would see the mysterious, incredible sight that greeted us. There beyond a patch of shadowy field, one could just make out above the tree line of the beginning of the forest, a stream of lights hovering and pulsating in some sort of organized linear display!
I had to rub my eyes to take it all in. It really did appear to look like some flying saucer. I was told that this object does not always appear in this location and many times other enthusiasts have attempted to film or photograph it with dismal results. GPS apparently will fail to identify the true location as it simply gives no reading when one tries to approach the object. Strangely, if one attempts to find the place in daylight, all that can be found is an empty field about three to four kilometers from the place we were standing.
Dare I say, my video cam did capture some very good footage and to cap it all, some extremely interesting sounds which we heard only on playback and not at the actual time of filming. At the time of filming, we heard absolutely nothing, it was deadly silent the entire time. I was told that ‘they’ knew we were there and were putting on a bit of show or display for us! Our distance from this object was apparently three to four kilometers and I was assured that there was absolutely no military presence in the area.
My only thought at the time of seeing this craft was that I really didn’t want a night pass for actual contact with any of these entities/aliens/beings as I simply wasn’t expecting that sort of reality, besides I was not dressed for the part(just joking).
After a fair amount of video footage, we left the UFO in peace and quiet and headed home to reflect on what we had seen, knowing full well that no one would actually believe me when I recounted this story and even with actual footage, would still not convince a soul!
Video stills of UFO showing two of the pulsating lights
The following night we revisited that area to see this strange object and again managed to capture some more amazing footage, however, till now, I’ve not posted the video online as my host Valery has insisted it remain private for the time being so I’ve honored his wishes and kept it at that. I believe that he has his own reasons for the protection of this incredible anomaly.
Video still of UFO showing at least four of the six plasma lights
There were so many occasions when we stopped in wonder at the strange sights and sounds that we experienced on this expedition, too many to recount here.
What I have discovered too is that all of us has the ability whether we like it or not to step outside of our beliefs and consider information which does not fit into our previously accepted view of reality. When you reach that point in your life then expect some extraordinary things to happen.
Whatever one is seeking, to see flying saucers, experience renewed energy, good health, to test out your courage and fears, then this is the place to come and stay.
Also, it’s always very lucky to follow one’s fancy, not that one will definitely have great adventures, but because you will be led into strange scenes, into those hidden parts that lie just beyond the obvious and utilitarian. You many not get all the answers to your questions but at least you’ve tried your best to find out.
As for some of the other Russians that I met on my travels, many appeared to be as strong as giants, quite religious and others mystically superstitious by reason of the many unexplained phenomena that surrounded them.
I will say though that my impressions of the first real sight of Russia and the village are deep and lasting in my memory and am convinced that every open-hearted, nature-loving person who visits this wonderful place, will also never forget it. The urge to return to this place will last a lifetime. I for one will definitely go back.
